Hey Madii, my interview is in May, I’m going for my interview at Manly too, was there a group interview that you had to attend?? Other channels have mentioned a group interview with 10 or so other people, this may be for a different program though
Emma Jacks (8 months ago)
madiipage thanks so much :) And I’m totally stoked I even got through to interview :O
madiipage (8 months ago)
Hey Emma! First of all congrats on getting an interview! There is no group interview :) So basically, they just fill you in on the program as a group and then call you in individually! also good luck! you got this x

Hi Madi! I'm having my interview on february and I'm interested in Attractions, Merchandise and Operations, could you tell me more about those roles and what would be important to know about them?? :) thanks!!!
madiipage (11 months ago)
Hey! So attractions is any show or ride on property! You can get put at a ride such as the haunted mansion or a show such as the indiana jones stunt show at studios. It also comes under operations so you can get put in parking or operating lines for meet and greets for characters. Some locations will cover multiple attractions so you can get trained to operate multiple rides. You also can get put as park greeter! My roommate was one at studios and my other friend was one at MK. Don't be disheartened by any location you get because trust me, work is more about the magic you make and the people you work with. I suggest expressing how you can manage bigs crowds and rude guests in your interview as some guests get very mad and rude about fastpasses! In terms of merchandise you can get put in a store in a resort, park or disney springs! Merch is great because you can pick up shifts elsewhere. So, if you get bored at your location or want to expand your horizons and work at all four parks you can! It's also like any retail job too :)

I'm freaking out and was wondering if you need a year 12 to do the program like did they ask and did you have to send proof? (im from Australia) <3
madiipage (1 year ago)
hey! im not sure what you mean by a year 12. If you mean have graduated from year 12 then I'm not sure! You just need to have done one year at university and be currently enrolled at an institution :) x

hello! I'm an Irish student hoping to apply in 2018. what were your dates for the program. my exams don't finish till June 9th and I know it starts in June. would be so happy if you could reply! <3
madiipage (1 year ago)
hey! So my dates were 8th of august to the 5th of january! The US dcp has arrival dates from may to september depending if you do fall advantage or just fall x

I'm watching this and I still have 2 more years till I can apply😂 I'm so excited and I really hope I get excepted or my dreams are down the drain haha
Robert Wood (1 year ago)
will i get accepted?
Mary Jane (1 year ago)
madiipage yay!!
madiipage (1 year ago)

So you have to be at uni for a year before you can apply, but you can apply for a programme during your uni year which starts after you finish your first year of uni? :)
Abi Cliffe (1 year ago)
madiipage yeah sorry that didn't really make sense haha! But yeah that's what I wanted to know! Thanks! 😊
madiipage (1 year ago)
sorry, i dont quite get what you mean! But, you can apply to start the program after you've finished one year. So, I think you can apply for the spring intake when you're still completing your first year. Pretty sure my kiwi friend did it! :)

I thought you could only do food and beverage and merchandise with this programme? Like working in Epcot?
madiipage (1 year ago)
i think you're thinking of the cultural representative program! That's for UK participants usually, this is the cultural exchange program for AUS/NZ :)
Mikaela Grace (1 year ago)
Hey lovely! How much did the program cost?
Mikaela Grace (1 year ago)
All good! Yay easy as!! It sounds like an incredible program and experience! I've been asking people a million questions! hahah
madiipage (1 year ago)
sorry for the late reply but yes I did! it was really easy, i got asked what I was doing in america and what my role was and that was it :) x
Mikaela Grace (1 year ago)
Also did you have to do a visa interview? x
Mikaela Grace (1 year ago)
Oh thats heaps good! I totally thought it would be more!! So glad you made this video!! xx
madiipage (1 year ago)
hey! so we had to pay an upfront cost of $350 USD as it was housing event fees and first week of rent. I then had to pay for my visa and flights so that varies upon location! :)
Ashleigh M (1 year ago)
My interview is next week and this video is so helpful! Thank you!
Ashleigh M (1 year ago)
Thanks! I'll follow you now :)

I lived at the commons and loved it! having my own washer and dryer made living so much easier and the little store was super helpful too! Vista is a hub for buses and has walgreens and other stores walking distance which is cool but most of the apartments are quite gross. My friends bathroom was disgusting and their toilet leaked to the lower floor which was gross. As an attendant I only worked in the parks and the commons has all the buses taking you to the parks :) feel free to pm me on instagram if you have any more questions ! @madii.page
Ashleigh M (1 year ago)
Cool! That's great to know :) Do you have any recommendations on which housing to stay in? Me and my friends are tossing up between the commons and vista way
madiipage (1 year ago)
oh cool! you'll most likely get attractions :) just remember park greeting counts too! There are also some other attractions roles that don't seem like attractions but are nonetheless still fun!
Ashleigh M (1 year ago)
My top role was attractions but merchandise was a close second
Bobby Ó Rinn (2 years ago)
This is really helpful thanks! One thing, are there specific dates for the program on when it starts? I don't finish college until June 16
Bobby Ó Rinn (2 years ago)
Oh the fact you're from Australia just clicked. My bad! Ahaha thank you!
madiipage (2 years ago)
the cultural exchange program has the same or similar enough dates with the US college program :)
Bobby Ó Rinn (2 years ago)
Ohh did you not do it during summer break?
madiipage (2 years ago)
mine is the 8th of august til the 5th of january! Specific dates usually change from year to year but for the fall program it's August til January :)
