http://optionalpha.com/signals - Even though we know we can never consistently pick the next direction of an underline stock's movement we can use some basic technical analysis to help figure out where the stock may NOT go in the future which is sometimes more important than figuring out where the stock MIGHT go. In today's video tutorial I’ll show you my 3 favorite technical analysis indicators; MACD, RSI Stochastics and CCI. Plus, how I have customized each to fit our personal trading philosophy. Beware though, technical analysis can lead you down the path of "analysis paralysis" if you use too many indicators. I always suggest that you focus on learning 2-4 indicators and sticking with those for the long-haul. ================== Listen to our #1 rated investing podcast on iTunes: http://optionalpha.com/podcast ================== Download a free copy of the "The Ultimate Options Strategy Guide": http://optionalpha.com/ebook ================== Still working a day job? Firstly all the indicators are going to show you are created from basic candlestick data. The auto information from the open high low and close the basic price action. If you need to learn more about the basics candlesticks and please click here three-part candlestick series. Here are some of the most common mistakes traders make the technical indicators. Don’t overload your screen with indicators and display the indicators that you actually use on your charts a lot of traders overload their charts with indicators as excuse to over trade.Remember indicators are just an indication of something happening in the market they are crystal ball trying to predict the future. Don’t blame the indicators where traders and workout no matter what indicators you use your still have to take losses in trading. Two types of indicators. There are two types of markets trending and range bound or cyber to markets. A trending market looks like this but the market is moving in one direction arrange panel Cyprus market looks like this were the market is moving up and down within a specific range indicators tend to be either suited trending or range assignment markets. Indicator one RSI. The relative strength index compares the magnitude of recent gains to recent losses in the attempt to determine overbought and oversold conditions of instrument as you can see from the chart the RSI ranges from 0 to 100. Insurance is deemed to be overbought once the RSI approaches the 70 level mean that it maybe getting overvalued and is a good candidate for pullback likewise if the RSI approaches 30, then the instrument is oversold and therefore like to reverse. Traders will often use the RSI coming back out of overbought or oversold conditions as a signal to enter the market. A trade using RSI should be whether large rallies and drops in price will affect the RSI by potentially creating false buy or sell signals traders often come by the RSI such as the MACD. Indicator two MACD. Moving average convergence divergences is one of the most well-known unused indicates in technical analysis this indicator is made of two exponential moving averages which help measure momentum henchmen. These moving averages and the changing distances between them become the MACD. Convergence means the moving averages moving closer together, divergence means they’re moving away from one another. Indicator three Bollinger bands. A Bollinger band starts off as a simple moving average and has two standard deviations plotted away from it that sounds a mouthful but the important part is because standard deviation is a measure of volatility Bollinger bands adjust themselves to current market conditions. When markets become more volatile markets widen and move further away. Enjoying less volatile periods the band’s contract moving closer together. The typing of the bands of news by technical traders as an indication there may be volatility to follow. The 5 Types of Technical Indicators with Barry Norman

51:18
Traders who subscribe to technical analysis operate under the fundamental theory that prices move in patterns and that price never lies. These traders are watching charts to pick up on the subtlest of indicators of where share prices could be headed next. Indicators indicate. This may sound straightforward, but sometimes traders ignore the price action of a security and focus solely on an indicator. Indicators filter price action with formulas. As such, they are derivatives and not direct reflections of the price action. This should be taken into consideration when applying analysis. Any analysis of an indicator should be taken with the price action in mind.

What is TECHNICAL ANALYSIS? What does TECHNICAL ANALYSIS mean? TECHNICAL ANALYSIS meaning

06:32
What is TECHNICAL ANALYSIS? What does TECHNICAL ANALYSIS mean? TECHNICAL ANALYSIS meaning - TECHNICAL ANALYSIS definition - TECHNICAL ANALYSIS explanation. Source: Wikipedia.org article, adapted under https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/ license. In finance, technical analysis is a security analysis methodology for forecasting the direction of prices through the study of past market data, primarily price and volume. Behavioral economics and quantitative analysis use many of the same tools of technical analysis, which, being an aspect of active management, stands in contradiction to much of modern portfolio theory. The efficacy of both technical and fundamental analysis is disputed by the efficient-market hypothesis which states that stock market prices are essentially unpredictable. Fundamental analysts examine earnings, dividends, assets, quality, ratio, new products, research and the like. Technicians employ many methods, tools and techniques as well, one of which is the use of charts. Using charts, technical analysts seek to identify price patterns and market trends in financial markets and attempt to exploit those patterns. Technicians using charts search for archetypal price chart patterns, such as the well-known head and shoulders or double top/bottom reversal patterns, study technical indicators, moving averages, and look for forms such as lines of support, resistance, channels, and more obscure formations such as flags, pennants, balance days and cup and handle patterns. Technical analysts also widely use market indicators of many sorts, some of which are mathematical transformations of price, often including up and down volume, advance/decline data and other inputs. These indicators are used to help assess whether an asset is trending, and if it is, the probability of its direction and of continuation. Technicians also look for relationships between price/volume indices and market indicators. Examples include the moving average, relative strength index, and MACD. Other avenues of study include correlations between changes in Options (implied volatility) and put/call ratios with price. Also important are sentiment indicators such as Put/Call ratios, bull/bear ratios, short interest, Implied Volatility, etc.

Dow theory of Technical analysis - Stock Market - in हिंदी

In this video, I have explained DOW THEORY of Technical analysis. It is the base on which entire field of technical analysis and its concepts are based. All the concepts of Support/Resistance, Double top, Double Bottom, Chart patterns, Head & Shoulders, triple top, triple bottom, Trend (uptrend, downtrend and Sideways trend) are based on this Theory. It was given by Charles H Dow through his published papers in Wall street Journal and later was complied by his student. Predicting Stock Price movement statistically

07:51
Predicting Stock Price movement statistically. Here we use historical data to predict the movement of stock price for next day. It is completely mathematically valid. The mathematical model of Brownian motion has several real-world applications. Stock market fluctuations are often cited, although Benoit Mandelbrot rejected its applicability to stock price movements in part because these are discontinuous. This is a momentum indicator used in technical analysis, which compares the stock's closing price to its price over the course of a particular time frame. During an upward trend in the market, a stock's share price will close near its high (highest price traded), and when in a downward-trending market, the security's price will close near the low (lowest price traded). This may determine whether a stock is overbought or oversold, thus predicting a possible momentum change. http://www.garguniversity.com Check out Ebook "Mind Math" from Dr. Garg https://www.amazon.com/MIND-MATH-Learn-Math-Fun-ebook/dp/B017QEIF18

What Is The Dow Theory?

05:02
The ‘Dow Theory’ which was created 100 years ago by Charles Dow was also the owner of the Dow Jones news company. It is considered by many the foundation of Technical analysis. We explore the first 4 concepts Dow Theory explains. Names of papers written about the Dow Theory: The Stock Market Barometer" (1922), Robert Rhea's "The Dow Theory" (1932), E. George Schaefer's "How I Helped More Than 10,000 Investors To Profit In Stocks" (1960) and Richard Russell's "The Dow Theory Today" (1961). Today the Nifty and Sensex are accepted as the barometer of the economy, but Dow was the first person to say that the overall market is a reflection of business conditions, by analyzing the trend we could gauge the direction of the overall economy and individual companies through their stock prices. Dow created the Dow Jones industrial index and the Dow Jones rail index. Les learn what the Dow theory encompassed 1) Markets Discount Everything The first premise is that the all available information in the market will reflect in the price. This includes everything from emotions, earnings, inflation and the fear of a world war breaking out! Okay maybe not, but what it really means is that the market has all the information available but only as soon as it becomes relevant will it reflects in the price. 2) Markets Trend Markets will trend upwards, downwards or sideways for long periods of time. Think HCL when we talk about uptrends, JP Associates when we see downtrends and CAIRN India for sideways. Sideways trends occur when no clear trend emerges. 3) Phases of These Trends Now an uptrend, for example, has phases separated by aggressiveness. The accumulation phase, public participation marked as awareness and excess phase marked as mania (see the video for chart). This is interesting that we can see the same behavior in the Nifty chart even after 100 years showing that human behavior really doesn’t change a lot even after 100 years. Maybe we are hardwired in certain behaviors. 4) The Averages Must Confirm Each Other 100 years ago it made sense to compare averages against each other to judge strength. In today's world information flow more freely and instantaneously. Perhaps this is less relevant today. Following the Nifty or Sensex is enough to gauge market trends. How to use Technical Analysis in Trading

59:40
This video described various aspects of classical analysis and how to trade using levels of support and resistance. Technical analysis is a method of evaluating securities by analyzing the statistics such as past prices and volume. Technical analysts do not attempt to measure a security's intrinsic value, but instead use charts and other tools to identify patterns that can suggest future activity.

Technical Analysis of Stock Market For Beginners [Technical Analysis: Introduction]

11:14
Technical Analysis of Stock Market For Beginners [Technical Analysis: Introduction] ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- There are two primary methods used to analyze securities and make investment decisions: fundamental analysis and technical analysis. Fundamental analysis involves analyzing a company’s financial statements to determine the fair value of the business, while technical analysis assumes that a security’s price already reflects all publicly-available information and instead focuses on the statistical analysis of price movements. Technical analysis may appear complicated on the surface, but it boils down to an analysis of supply and demand in the market to determine where the price trend is headed. In other words, technical analysis attempts to understand the market sentiment behind price trends rather than analyzing a security’s fundamental attributes. If you understand the benefits and limitations of technical analysis, it can give you a new set of tools or skills that will enable you to be a better trader or investor over the long-term. In this tutorial, you will be introduced to technical analysis and develop the foundation needed to understand more advanced concepts down the road. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Technical Analysis Strategies for Beginners ? USENIX Security '18 - Discovering Flaws in Security-Focused Static Analysis Tools...

21:14
Discovering Flaws in Security-Focused Static Analysis Tools for Android using Systematic Mutation Richard Bonett William & Mary Abstract: Mobile application security has been one of the major areas of security research in the last decade. Numerous application analysis tools have been proposed in response to malicious, curious, or vulnerable apps. However, existing tools, and specifically, static analysis tools, trade soundness of the analysis for precision and performance, and are hence soundy. Unfortunately, the specific unsound choices or flaws in the design of these tools are often not known or well-documented, leading to a misplaced confidence among researchers, developers, and users. This paper proposes the Mutation-based soundness evaluation (μSE) framework, which systematically evaluates Android static analysis tools to discover, document, and fix, flaws, by leveraging the well-founded practice of mutation analysis. We implement μSE as a semi-automated framework, and apply it to a set of prominent Android static analysis tools that detect private data leaks in apps. As the result of an in-depth analysis of one of the major tools, we discover 13 undocumented flaws. More importantly, we discover that all 13 flaws propagate to tools that inherit the flawed tool. We successfully fix one of the flaws in cooperation with the tool developers. Our results motivate the urgent need for systematic discovery and documentation of unsound choices in soundy tools, and demonstrate the opportunities in leveraging mutation testing in achieving this goal. What is TECHNICAL ANALYSIS? What does TECHNICAL ANALYSIS mean? TECHNICAL ANALYSIS meaning - TECHNICAL ANALYSIS definition - TECHNICAL ANALYSIS explanation. Source: Wikipedia.org article, adapted under https://creativecommons.org/licenses/... license.
