How did BlackBerry disrupt Nokia? How did Apple disrupt Blackberry? How did Discovery disrupt the medical insurance industry using Vitality? How did Tesco grow to $214bn from a $4bn base in 16years? How did WhatsApp kill a South African incumbent (MxiT)? How is Capitec disrupting conventional banks using a single product? Why is that Airbnb now takes more bookings that the Hilton group? Vusi is a consummate speaking professional! On and off stage. He doesn’t just talk business – he lives it. For real, he walks, talks and breathes it! You see he does more than simply inspire revolution, he’s the guy that initiates it. He has been the catalyst for change in businesses across the globe through expertise in strategy, leadership and sales. A staggering 21 global cities have experienced Vusi. Oh and add New York, London, Paris, Lagos, Jersey, Guernsey, Rio de Janeiro, Dar es Salaam, Sao Paulo, Buenos Aires, Colombo, Nairobi, Kampala, San Francisco to the list. That’s what you get when you talk about things that make perfect sense. So let’s begin… Vusi is a disruptor. At 25 he ran an R400mn division in an R17bn multi-national and today is widely regarded as one of the most disruptive forces in venture capital in Africa. He was amongst the youngest directors of a listed company in South Africa and now serves on several boards. Currently, he is the CEO of a boutique investment & advisory firm in Africa. Leading by example, his firm forces medium, large and listed businesses into much needed, often painful, always lucrative new directions. Having graced the covers of Entrepreneur Magazine, with features on Forbes and Inc500, his social media engagement often mirrors that of a Rockstar. These organisations ALL have the same principle of aiming to be the best at what they do, not the biggest. They know that size is a result and not an input.

23 million small and medium-sized enterprises provide more than two thirds of jobs in

01:16
23 million small and medium-sized enterprises provide more than two thirds of jobs in the EU, helping to fight unemployment. The Parliament thinks their growth is essential to boosting Europe's competitiveness. Watch our video to find out more. Come to Slovakia and see how your eurofonds/help destroyed small and medium-sized enterprises... oh come on you dont give a bit about unemployment in south Europe, you are even grateful of the thousands of youngsters moving to Germany and other countries as cheap work force. Had you been worried you would have acted as EEUU where Obama, worried about the "high" unemployement rate of 9% decided to increase debt and spending and now unemployment is in 6%. You just care about the german banks that financed the Spanish housing bubble; you dont care about the suffering of people nothing. Im not saying our governments are not to blame too, but being in the EU and the euro has been a catastrophe for our countries and economies, and the measures adopted by the troika criminals. We have since the very begining the interest rates and economic policies that fitted Germany and not the rest of the EU, A single currency, economic policy and interest rate cant fit all europeans countries so different in their economies. interest rates were very low in early 2000's to help recover German' economy and it heated the south europeans economies, plus german banks also especulated hugely in spanish housing bubble. Now austerity measures are made leaving people suffering in misery just for the german banks can get their money back, without any fault in their gaming. there is a share responsability en both south european politicians and EParlament ones as in the banks I think you should block all financial and economic transactions with tax heavens beginning with Gibraltar, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Channel islands, Liechtenstein, etc, and put an end to the Irish corporation tax of 12,5%. But then again as many of European politicians have their money hidden in this heavens , as the French Chancellor of Exchequer, no wonder why you don't care Shame on the European Parliament for making privates pensions plans for its MPs in the tax haven of Luxembourg through a SICAV http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/europe/eu/10777196/MEPs-second-pension-scheme-how-it-works.html http://www.publico.es/politica/530080/escandalo-en-iu-por-el-plan-de-pensiones-de-meyer-en-una-sicav Spanish Euro MP Willy Meyer obliged to resign after the scandal http://www.publico.es/politica/530141/willy-meyer-dimite-como-eurodiputado-de-iu there are thousands of small enterprise's and traders that have just given up all thanks to the EU and there stupid rules and regulations. those looking to start up give it a go and give up too. which goes to show the EU is a force for bad not good. even farmers are giving up farming because its becoming far too much hassle dealing with EU dictates. even fishermen are giving up there boats and not going fishing. the EU is like a cancer every thing it touches withers and dies.

6 confusing words - small & little, big & large, tall & high

13:50
http://www.engvid.com 'Small' and 'little' are synonyms, but sometimes it's difficult to know which one to use. In this English lesson we will look at some situations where you should use 'small' or 'little', or either one. We will also look at when we use 'big' and 'large', and the differences between 'tall' and 'high'. http://www.engvid.com/6-confusing-words-small-little-big-large-tall-high/ TRANSCRIPT Hi again. I'm Adam. Welcome back to www.engvid.com. Today's lesson is a little bit tricky. The reason I say it's tricky is because we're talking about specific words that are often interchangeable; that are often used in the same situations or same meanings. We're talking about "small" versus "little", "big" versus "large", "tall" versus "high". Some students asked: what's the difference between them? I'll do my best to explain the difference between these words. First thing and the most important thing that you need to remember about these words is that yes, they are synonyms -- means they have almost the same meaning. What makes the difference in how to use them is always going to be context. Okay? A lot of the difference in how to use these words depends on the context they are being used in. Some expressions take this word or that word, and not the other, for example. In some situations, the meaning is very different depending on which word you use. Okay? So we're going to start with "small" and "little". Okay? The main thing to remember and in most cases the biggest difference: when we talk about "small", when we use "small", we talk about size, the size of something or its dimensions -- dimensions are length, width, height, depth, etcetera -- or intensity. Okay? When we talk about the intensity of something. So first of all, the thing to remember about this: we're talking about physical size. When we describe something as "small", generally we mean physically small, something physical is small. But again, sometimes we can use "little" to talk about the physical size of something. So for example: somebody has small hands or somebody has little hands. The nuance is a little bit different, and this is what you have to be careful about, nuance. If somebody has small hands, it means generally physical small but if somebody has little hands, it has more of the idea that he or she can do less with their hands. True, not true - I don't know; I'll leave that up to you. But just remember there's a slight nuance in difference. But, if you look at somebody, say: "Oh, he has such little hands." Or if you say: "Oh, that person has such small hands." Most people will get the same idea. But again, context might tell you it's a little bit different. Okay. When I talk about intensity, again, usually something physical like somebody has a small voice. If somebody has a small voice, sometimes it's a little bit hard to hear them. Did you hear that? Did you hear my small voice or do you hear my big voice now? But we'll get to that after. Usually, we use "little" with uncountables; money, time. "I have a little money." Not "small money". Small money means like in Canada, we have a dime, 10 cents, it's a very small coin but that's not what we're talking about. "A little money", when we're talking about quantity. So usually when you talk about uncountables -- things you can't count and you're not talking about physical size because it's not something physical, physical things you can count -- uncountables, not physical things, you usually use "small". If we talk about someone's stature... Now, what does "stature" mean? It means more or less like how people view this person or this thing. So look at the example. For example: if I say "A small man" versus "A little man". A small man means usually physically small; maybe short, maybe skinny, whatever. A little man is something... we don't care about this person. Right? He's small, I can step on him because he's not... doesn't have stature. A big man has a bit more stature. A large man is a large man, but we'll get to that in a second. When we talk about adjective of degree. When we want... we use "little" almost like an adverb. So: "I'm a little tired." Not small tired, a little tired. Or if you say... and that means just a little bit. Right? Not a great amount. But if I say: "I'm a little irritated." I'm a little irritated means like ugh, you know, somebody made me irritated. Again, context will usually tell you that "little irritated" means very irritated. "Ugh, I'm a little irritated." Means I'm pissed off, to be honest, but we use "little" to make it softer. Okay? But, and another thing, again this usually comes back to countables or uncountables. When we're talking about countables and we want to talk about the quantity, like how much we have, we say: "We have a small amount of something" or "We have a small number of somethings." Again, you usually use amount with uncountables, you'll use number with countables.

Can big dogs and small dogs live together? ... Still, there are some dogs that justcan't live together. Sometimes there is a problem with aggressiveness, but too much friendliness is also bad - an energetic middle-sized dog could be just as dangerous as a grumpy St. Bernard. Can big dogs and small dogs live together? You have to be careful if you wish to keep dogs of different sizes under one roof. In most cases though, there is no problem and smaller dogs become great buddies with their slower and much larger roommates. Still, there are some dogs that just can’t live together. Sometimes there is a problem with aggressiveness, but too much friendliness is also bad - an energetic middle-sized dog could be just as dangerous as a grumpy St. Bernard. So, think carefully before you make a match, as you don’t want the little guy to get hurt! The best way to avoid potential problems is to do your homework. Here are some tips that could be helpful to you: - Check the dog’s history with other animals - if you are introducing a small dog and a grown dog from a larger breed, it should already be evident if the big dog is tolerable to smaller animals. - Pick the right breed - if you are taking in a puppy and you are worried what it would do once it grows up to full size, just do some research. Any dog breed has different bloodlines, associated with different characteristics. German Shepherds for instance have “working lines”, which could generally pose a threat to a smaller dog – their prey drive is just too high. However, there are breeding lines of German Shepherds that produce a milder prey drive (WGR show lines and/or American CH lines). Also, when you are picking a puppy, ask about its parents – if they don’t have problems with smaller animals, then the puppy probably won’t either. - Growing up together - In the best case scenario, both dogs would be introduced to one another when they are young. If the dogs grow up together, then they usually become fast friends. - Choose an animal from the opposite sex - If the dogs are of different sexes (and spayed/neutered of course), this usually improves their relations. - Go slowly – when you introduce a new dog to the household, the other dog might feel threatened. It is important to introduce the new dog slowly and to give a lot of attention to your other dog as well – generally, you should act as if your child is getting used to a baby in the house! - Supervise – in the beginning , do not leave a smaller dog and a larger dog in the same room without supervision; leave the dogs to play roughly, since it is essential to establish who the “top dog” is, but be ready to break them up if they get carried away! - Be calm – if you are nervous, the dogs will feel it, and they will also get overexcited; that is when an accident might happen! - Do not underestimate the little guy – small dogs often tend to be more aggressive than their larger counterparts. It isn’t unusual for a toy dog to bully a much larger dog who won’t fight back – so do not assume that only the small dog can be a victim! Of the above mentioned, the best you can do is to always be calm. If you are patient enough, prepare well and exert your authority in the house, small dogs and big dogs under the same roof will be no trouble at all! from:-http://dogknowledge.net Thanks for watching our video. Type of enterprises in Europe

00:28
Size is important in some countries legislations and rules. In several forums SME is a often used abbreviation for Small and Medium Sized Enterprises – and in Europe they represent 99.8% of all enterprises. They also create approximately 4 out of 5 new jobs in Europe. In the Digital Economy it is common that groups of small businesses cooperates and together forms a modern version of medium sized or large companies. Some businesses grow in terms of employees other in terms of revenue streams – and therefore the turn over is used instead of head counts to determine the size of a business.

Small Office Networking - Intro (series part 1)

08:45
First in a series of videos that covers the task of creating a small office network. The series will cover: 1. Basic network connectivity an hardware 2. File sharing 3. adding a shared printer 4. WiFi access The goal is to take a potentially complex task and break it into simple chapters. The target audience of this videos (and the series to follow) is non-technical people who need to build a computer network quickly without all the technical details and theory. You might think of this as a "networking for dummies". But, that certainly doesn't imply there is anything dumb about people who are trying to find a way to do things themselves! If you are watching this because you find network and telecommunications interesting, you might be wondering if this field could be a career for you. If so, you might be very interested in my other channel where I have started a series for people considering becoming network and telecom professionals https://youtu.be/Rt3TBqChhFM Before you rush out and buy the Netgear switches, the Linksys routers, etc, take a some time to watch this video and othrers like it to understand the parts and techniques that make up a small office network. This will prevent you from over-spending or buy equipment you don't need. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- CONTRIBUTIONS to support Network Advisor: https://donorbox.org/network-advisor-expansion ------------------------------------------------------------------------------

What Size Business Consulting Firm is best for my needs?

02:14
http://revenuefirstgroup.com/BusinessConsultingFirms/ Business Consulting Firms like Revenue First Group provide Business performance improvement. There are basically two types of consulting firms. 1. The large national firms and 2. Small specialty boutique shops. We have found there is a trend toward working with smaller business consulting and coaching firms. These firms are usually local specialty boutique shops that work with senior management teams on a one-to-one basis. Larger national firms as a rule tend to bring in the A team to show you the benefits of their company and then pass you on to the B team to work with. By working with smaller consulting firms, you often work directly with the thought leaders, not the messenger. Before you start, become familiar with the business consulting and coaching firms in your local area. As with any coach, the relationship with your individual coach is of paramount importance. After the first, getting acquainted stage, a good coach will ask you a series of questions designed to set specific strategic goals and objectives. They will help discover corporate strengths and weaknesses, improvement opportunities, and working together, they assist in developing a results focused action plan with clear deliverables. Most small and medium sized businesses receive greater results by working with business consulting and coaching firms that are comprised of serial entrepreneurs, former CEOs & VPs that focus on helping management teams put their value in front. They help you increase business performance by delivering concrete, measurable results for your team, Customers and Shareholders. Every single contributor makes a difference to the community. Business owners of all sizes have a unique opportunity to empower their team to be a team of active contributors! At Hook 42, one of our strategic business goals is to be actively involved in and give back to the Drupal Community. We contribute in ways that are within the means of our company size - we are a team of 8 and qualify as “small”. Before the company we were freelancers, so we know how to contribute on an individual to medium scale. This session will surface how we plan, budget, and execute our Drupal community efforts. Our goal is to provide you and your team creative options for community contributions within your company or individual resources. From Kristen Pol: "We need to encourage more contribution, and contribution comes in different shapes and forms. This would be a good session for students, freelancers, and small to medium shops." Everyone makes a difference! Benefits to Attendees / Objectives: Contribute beyond “committing to core”. Identify non-coding contributions to get everyone involved. Surface contributions that are not monetary in nature. Address the “How much contribution can I afford?” question. Quantify the return of your Drupal community investment with real data. How OffiNeeds is helping corporates plan and purchase office essentials

06:27
In the 35th episode of TC Show Off, a weekly show that provides startups a platform to showcase their businesses, Srikanth Acharya, CEO, OffiNeeds, showcases how his e-commerce portal is solving a big pain point of the corporates by helping them plan and purchase office stationery, IT consumables and corporate goods under one roof. The company has been in the business of selling office essentials offline since 1957. It is more like a family business which was set up over 50 years ago. Acharya has been associated with the offline side of this business since almost a decade. According to him, this is the biggest strength of the startup as it already knows the key parameters of the sector. Customers can place orders in bulk and can get them delivered at their doorstep. He said the startup has two types of customers—small or medium size businesses and medium to large businesses. The purchase value of the former varies from Rs 5,000 to Rs 15,000 a month while that of larger companies range Rs 50,000-5 lakh, he said. Acharya said the company aspires to become for businesses what Flipkart and Amazon are for consumers. For more logon to vccircle.com/vcc-tv.

You are welcome to click the website link or call the phone number to get more information beyond what is listed below: The NEO-PAWS™ Life Vest is made of a sturdy nylon and is available in seven sizes - XS to XXXL- to fit any breed of dog. A highly reflective handle makes it visible day and night and also allows you to pull your pet out of the water with ease and comfort. A uniquely designed chest-piece was added to give extra support and buoyancy to the pet's head and body in case of an emergency. When extra support is not required, the chest-piece can be removed. The nylon mesh-webbing straps are adjustable to fit the pet snugly. Their soft texture is comfortable for the animal and will not blister its torso. Even though most animals are swimmers by nature, a Life Vest is still necessary to protect your pet on boating trips, in larger bodies of water, or even in a swimming pool. The vest keeps the pet afloat at all times and enables it to swim longer. Yellow only. SIZES: LBS / KILOS XS 2 - 7 1 - 3 kilo S 7 - 15 3 - 7 kilo M 15 - 35 7- 16 kilo L 35 - 55 16- 25 kilo XL 55 - 75 25 - 34 kilo XXL 75 - 95 34 - 43 kilo XXXL 95 & UP 43 kilos + The life vests and life jackets are good for all breeds of puppies, small dogs, medium sized dogs and large dogs. Here is more about the company: ROANNA SABEH-AZAR: PROVIDING PETS WITH HIGH PERFORMANCE PROTECTION BY KELLY STEVENS - Pet Business Magazine Roanna Sabeh-Azar describes her company, Neo-Paws International, as "Nike to the dog world". However, outfitting canines with two pairs of High Performance Neo-Paws costs less than half of what a single pair of high performance Nike sneakers will run you. For a mere $55, dog owners can plant their pups' feet in footgear that will protect all four paws from the broken glass of city streets, as well as nature's own tenderfoot terrors such as branches, twigs and thorns. "People say, 'Dogs are dogs and they have lived in nature for centuries. What's the problem?"', said Roanna Sabeh-Azar. "Well, they have also lived with fleas, infested with ticks and with parasites in their intestines and we don't expect them to live like that anymore." Sabeh-Azar knows first-hand how rough the outside world can be for our canine companions when we don't outfit them appropriately. "I used to go bike riding a lot and I'd have the dogs follow me', she said. 'After the first week, I noticed my dogs limping. I figured they must have had sore muscles. But when I looked at the bottom of their paws, there were cuts all over them and they were chafed." Now, thanks to Neo-Paws, Sabeh-Azar's dogs, Mex and Buster, can run behind their master without running their unprotected paws through a gauntlet of road debris and natural paw offenders. NO HUMBLE BEGINNINGS For Sabeh-Azar, starting Neo-Paws was not a new feat. She has been an active part of the business world for years and successfully self-employed for several of those. As a matter of fact, she continues to help out at the family restaurant today and has previously run her own business importing home furnishings and decorative products from Mexico. It was with money from those past business endeavors that she started Neo-Paws International. Neo-Paws International was founded in October of 1994 and originally boasted an employee roster of one part-timer. Over the past few years, the company has grown to employ three people, and often work is subcontracted out. The staple product of the Neo-Paws line - the shoes, which come in both regular and high-performance styles - has been augmented to include Neo-Paws Jackets, Neo-Paws Saddle-Bags, Neo-Paws Rain Coats, Neo-Paws Kitty Kollars, Premiere Glow Reflective Collars and Serf Life Vests and Car Seat Belts. "When a salesperson is confident and convinced about what they're selling, how could they not convert the minds of millions?", posed Sabeh-Azar. "Proof is ultimately in the pudding, as they say, so we (at Neo-Paws) always offer our customers a lot of dessert." Convincing others to embrace your product line is only half of the battle though, according to Sabeh- Azar. The acceptance process starts a lot closer to home. "Believing in a product is the key", she said. "At Neo-Paws, as much as it is a business, and a very great one, our intentions are mostly to aid the public in realizing the importance of proper care for their pets"

How A Mens Dress Shoe Should Fit & How To Find The Right Shoe Size Online & In Store

11:56
Tired of wearing ill-fitting shoes? https://gentl.mn/how-a-dress-shoe-should-fit This video is brought to you in collaboration with ACE MARKS maker of fine Italian Leather Dress Shoes under $300 https://www.acemarks.com/ *** Don't forget to use the code GENTLEMAN Determine your shoe size with Ace Marks: https://www.acemarks.com/size-guide In recent years, buying shoes online has become very popular. Originally, people thought "How can I buy a shoe that I've never tried on that actually fits properly?" The solution to that problem would be that every man out there gets a pair of bespoke shoes. The problem with that is it costs about $2,000 for one pair and it's simply not something the majority of men out there can afford. That's where off the rack shoes come into play; they're nicely finished on an elegant last with high-quality leather, hand polished and burnished, at just a fraction of what a bespoke shoe would cost you. So how do you find a pair of shoes that fits you really really well? In my opinion, the most important part for the fit of a shoe is the middle part. You want it to really fit snugly around your foot so it holds it in place even without you having to tie your shoelaces. At the same time, you want the front part of your foot to have enough room in the front and be neither too wide or too slim at the side. The perfect width of the last is the one that just hugs you without being too tight or too loose. Another important aspect of the fit of the shoe is the vamp. If there's too much space between the vamp and your foot, you'll easily see wrinkles in the leather and it's also more uncomfortable to walk in them. Finally, my pet peeve with most ready to wear shoes is the heel. Most shoe companies design it so it's very roomy and wide so it fits every kind of shoe, however, I find it's very important that it's very close to your heel because that way, it hugs it, you're not gonna slide out when you walk, and it's a lot more comfortable to wear a shoe that way. Also to keep the shoe in shape, you have caps in the front and in the back. Most of the time, heel caps are stiffer than the front caps and some are really stiff and uncomfortable. So if your heel doesn't fit a hundred percent in there, it's gonna hurt and you may end up with blisters. When a shoe is new and the leather is unstretched, you will likely see a slight v-shape in between the laces in an Oxford that should close overtime. Too much of V shape means that you need to last that's slightly bigger or maybe you just have a bigger foot. Now, if you have laces you can get away with a fit that is maybe just 90 or 95 percent versus if you go with a slip on or a loafer shoe such as this penny loafer from Ace Marks, you have to get a fit that is much better because you don't have laces that help you. So one little secret that you don't hear about very often is that when you remove the shoe and you get that sound like the release of a vacuum, that's a good indicator that you have a tight fit. So now that you know how a shoe should fit properly, how do you find the proper size? In the US, the most common sizing system is the Brannock system. You can find these metal sizers in shoe stores all across the US or you can buy them on Amazon for about 60 to 65 bucks. Now, most people don't have a device at home and because of that Ace Marks provides you with a letter-sized and a din a4 format shoe sizer that you can just print out at home. Once you have it though your heel must be on the line. I always suggest taking a big book put it down. That way you can't slide back when you stand there and then you take a pen and mark it slightly facing inward where your big toe is and that way you determine your size, do it on both feet and you know exactly what size you should get. What I like about Ace Marks is that their sizing conforms to the US Brannock system so it's all in line and if you know what your Brannock size is, you know Ace Marks is going to fit. #dressshoes #howashoeshouldfit #mensshoes --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- SHOP THE VIDEO: 1. What is Business Process Outsourcing?

02:35
In this video, John Leishman CEO and owner of Tursa Group provides a detailed explanation on Business Process Outsourcing. What is BPO? “BPO is an acronym that stands for Business Process Outsourcing. It’s been around for 20 years and has been utilized by the large multi-national firms primarily for data-entry type work and more recently for telecom type work or customer service. Another term for this is off shoring. And then more recently, near-shoring, was the next big thing where the outsourced staff are in the same timezone as the parent organization. And this alleviated the issue of a 12-hour timezone difference. But still there is cultural challenges and language challenges. We’ve coined the new term called expat shoring where we take all the advantages of the previous strategies and alleviate the last issue of cultural and language issues. And simply put, we leverage Canadians and Americans living in low-cost geographies to facilitate the cost savings for organizations. Having said that, this business process outsourcing strategy can be employed around the world. So you can be an Australian company and you will then leverage Australians living in Cambodia or Vietnam as an example. Another reason our company’s leveraged outsourcing is that certain companies can simply deliver the services more cost-effectively even having in-house staff – whether it’s IT companies. Most small to medium sized businesses that already do outsourcing with their IT support or computer support and/or their bookkeeping services. When we talk to business owners, we simply force business owners to really look hard at their business and understand what their core competency is. We can deliver significant cost savings to these small and medium sized businesses. For example, some of these companies that we’re working with are realizing savings of between $10,000 a month up to about $30 to $40 thousand a month. So the savings really depend on the size of the organization. The other thing I want to mention to is this is not like a theoretical type strategy. This is strategy I’ve been utilizing myself for over 4 and a half years.” Tursa Group is a Business Process Outsourcing company for small and medium sized business throughout Canada and USA providing BPO services by assigning remote agents as it relates to social media, bookkeeping for organizations, financial reporting, IT support and helpdesk support – a whole variety of different services that small and medium sized businesses need.
