Making money growing and selling plants from home!

02:56
This is a fun and easy way to make some extra cash. If you are already a plant lover or gardener. Why not share your wealth and make some money too! save pots and ask your family, friends, and church folks to give their extra and old pots to you. Stuff leaves or straw in the bottom of the pots- this will break down in time . But actually save you a lot of money in potting soil. Remember that any plant that you have is valuable to someone else. So don't overlook taking cuttings and propagating even your most common plants. Like mints or spider plants. Save plants from people who are throwing them away or killing them! You would be surprised what is out there waiting to be rescued. LOL! Make nice, colorful and creative signs, If you have no incline toward this? Have some children make the sign for you. It will be colorful and charming. More is more. as a rule of thumb. When you are selling anything. You don't want it to looked picked over. always have 3 times the amount of plants that you wish to sell. Put everything out there! So it looks beefy and not picked over. People love buying seedling too. I save my cell packs and fill them with my exotic heirloom tomatoes for sale. This more than pays for buying new varieties and the potting soil to germinate the seed.

If You Get This Plant at Home, You’ll Never See Mice, Spiders, or Ants Again

10:51
How to Get Rid of Mice, Spiders, and Ants. How to keep pests out without hurting yourself with chemical repellents? According to the Canadian Center of Occupational Health and Safety, the chemicals in pest repellants may cause headache, diarrhea, mental confusion, weakness, loss of reflexes, unconsciousness, and even death. How about we go “au naturel” and try out some pest repellents that you can find right in your kitchen cabinet or garden? Try eucalyptus essential oil to keep spiders away, peppermint oil to wipe away ant trails, marigold to repel all kinds of pests like mosquitoes and flies, and aluminium foil or original scented dryer sheets to keep mice out. TIMESTAMPS How to use peppermint oil 1:03 How to use basil 1:36 How to use lavender 2:13 How to use catnip 2:40 How to use rosemary 3:06 How to use eucalyptus essential oil 3:34 How to use baking soda 4:02 How to use marigold 4:37 How to use dryer sheets 5:01 How to use peanut butter 5:34 How to use aluminum foil 6:11 How to use ultrasonic repellent 6:28 How to use borax 7:21 How to use steel wool or copper mesh 7:50 How to use cayenne pepper 8:19 How to use neem 8:51 How to use lemon thyme 9:47 Music: 1. Action Hero . Jingle Punks 2. Nutty Comedy . Biz Baz Studio https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music SUMMARY -Add some peppermint oil to your cleaning solution and mop your floor with it to wipe away ant trails. -Lemon basil and cinnamon basil can effectively repel the Anopheles gambiae complex, a group of mosquito species known to carry malaria. -Lavender scent can protect your home, pets, and other plants from being infested by bugs. -According to research, nepetalactone, the essential oil in catnip that your kitty loves so much, acts as an irritant against these common household pests. -Rosemary is commonly used in cooking and has medicinal properties. It also attracts butterflies but deters flies and mosquitoes. -Apply a few drops of eucalyptus essential oil to some cotton balls and put them in areas where you often find spiders. -Mix baking soda with sugar, and place a bowl of water near it. This lethal trio creates a chemical reaction inside the roaches’ stomach, which, let’s just say, won’t end well for the little buggers. -Marigold contains pyrethrum, a compound that’s commonly found in commercial bug sprays. -Put original scented dryer sheets in these places to keep mice out. -Protect yourself and your family by setting traps with peanut butter for mice and rats. -Mouse-proof your house by placing sheets of aluminum foil in their hideouts. -Try ultrasonic repellents if you’re willing to spend the money. These things emit high-frequency sounds that are only sensitive to a mouse’s ears. -Borax is used as a cleansing agent and in glass-making. It can also kill ants, roaches, termites, spiders, and even mold. -Use steel wool or copper mesh to mouse-proof your house and seal the deal with caulking. -If you need to keep wild animals out of your garden, cayenne pepper is a perfectly safe way to keep them at bay. Sprinkle it on the topsoil to keep rabbits and squirrels from munching on your fresh veggies. -Burning neem leaves gives about 76% mosquito protection for up to two hours. You can also heat the leaves up for 25% protection. -Another plant that’s proven to fend off mosquitoes is lemon thyme. Smash it and apply it to your skin after running a test on a small area. Plants You Can Grow From Cuttings and Leaves That gives excellent Results

03:31
Growing new plants from cuttings is a great way to increase your stock in a relatively short time. Rooted cuttings are often sturdier than seedlings, and come to maturity faster, many of them bearing flowers and fruits much earlier than seedlings. Plants grown from cuttings are exact clones of the parent plant, so you know exactly what you’re growing, which is not the case with seed-grown plants. When selecting a stem from the mother-plant, you should look for young, green growth. Young stems will always root better than more mature, woodier stems. Cut just below a node (the joint where a leaf meets the stem) with a sharp pair of scissors. As an added precaution against contamination You could also sterilize them with rubbing alcohol. Plants send out new roots from nodes, so by exposing some of the node's interior, you increase the chances of your new plant sending out a root from that node. While the new plant need leaves to provide energy through photosynthesis, too many leaves will compete with the plant's efforts to send out new roots. Leaving only 2-leaves is a good option. Following plant cuttings give excellent results. 1. Rose. Take 10-inch long hardwood cuttings of pencil thickness in fall and plant out in the chosen location. Water the cuttings thoroughly until winter. 2. Hydrangea. Take 4-inch long tip cuttings carrying 3-4 pairs of leaves. Remove the lowest pair and trim the stem closer to the node. Insert into moist rooting medium and cover with plastic sheet. You can trim the larger-leaves by 3/4th to reduce water-loss through evaporation. 3.Geranium. 6-8 inches long cuttings can be rooted, but it helps if the parent plant is allowed to wilt slightly prior to taking the cuttings. Withdraw water for a week and then take the cuttings 12-hours after watering the plant. The rehydrated stems take root more easily. 4.Snake-plant. 2-3 inch sections of the leaf can be used to make new plants. You can thus make a large number of plants from one parent plant. The only problem with this method of propagation is that the new plants will not carry the original variegation. Sections of rhizomes should be planted to retain the variegation. 5.Rex Begonia. All you need to grow these big-leaved beauties is a single leaf. Make a few slashes on the prominent veins on the underside of the leaf and lay it on a moist bed of peat-moss and sharp sand in equal proportions. Weight the leaf down with a few pebbles so that the cut edges remain in contact with the bed. Keep in a warm, well-lit place and watch the new plants appearing at these cut edges. Some of the other popular plants that can be grown from cuttings include: lavender, Comfrey, Philodendrons, Holly, Fuchsia and many others. Almost all herbs can be grown from cuttings and can be even grown in water. Check out my other video on herbs that can be grown in water on your kitchen window-sill. 8 Plants You Can Start With Only Cuttings And A Glass Of Water

03:20
8 Plants You Can Start With Only Cuttings And A Glass Of Water Anytime we’re stuck inside we wish we had more houseplants to keep us company and make it feel more more lush. Even amateur green thumbs tend to feel this pull to acquire and nurture more plants. In this article we’ve got this quick reference for some of the easiest plants that only require a cutting and some water to make new start. 1. English Ivy Vines are often very easy to propagate since they love to climb and wander and English ivy is no different. Place cuttings in only a few inches of water in a northern-facing window or indirect sunlight. In a few weeks you should see roots appearing in the water and then you can plant in soil. 2. African Violet To propagate in water place leaf with stem into water, standing up with the creative use of wax paper. Use a rubberband to secure a small section of waxpaper over a glass or jar filled with water. Poke holes in the paper for the stem to stand upright in the water. 2-5 weeks later you should have some roots which can be planted in soil. 3. Pothos The cutting should be about 5 inches long or so and there should be nodules under the water in the jar or vase since this is where the roots will grow from. 4. Spider Plants The long tendrils of this plant perfectly create lots of babies from which to make water plantings. They only need to be in water for a week or two in order to grow roots. 5. Most Succulents Most succulents are quite easy to start with only water. Succulents need to be dry for a bit for the cutting wound to callus over before being placed into water, though. 6. Zebrina Pendula You’ll want to make sure that at least one nodule or leaf joint is below the water when you propagate zebrina pendula in water. The nice thing about this plant is that its long gangly stems are great for making cuttings from 7. Papyrus Being a plant that grows in and near water it’s no surprise that papyrus cuttings thrive when placed in water. The trick with these guys is that the head of the cutting goes into the water! Roots develop quite quickly. 8. Croton It takes about 4 weeks for a croton cutting to make new roots. The cutting needs to be 3-6 inches long and have at least 3 leaves. Lotus Lilies paired with lotus flowers bring luck and purity to a garden. Just be mindful that to maintain positive energy, you must remove wilted or spent flowers and trim any dead or dying parts from the plant. Here are some precautions to be taken about how to usy plants in the home: • Most tropical plants brought indoors will help remove toxins from your air. • Avoid spiky plants in small rooms. • Prickly plants and those with star-shaped leaves encourage fire energy; therefore will be best in the Fame sector, or far middle section of the home. • Round, floppy leaves are more tend to peace and calm. • Tall plants represent tree energy and need to go in the middle left, or Family sector of the home. Since tree uproots earth, avoid large, tall, woody plants in the middle of rooms. • Avoid dry flowers. Silk is better than dried, but real is best. • Plants in multiples of three can counteract disharmony in relationships, except in the bedroom. • Plants are best in the East and Southeast. • In the bathroom, use one tall woody plant to help drain the excess Water element, but don’t overdo plants here. • Few, if any plants, should go in the bedroom. Yin, floppy plants are okay, but cut flowers are best. Much like basil, you'll want cuttings about 4 to 5 inches in length. Remove lower leaves and place the cuttings in clean-water. Once roots develop, Transfer to a container filled with potting-soil.  3.Green Onions and Scallions Do you love to toss some green-onions on just about everything? Buy them once, and then grow them from the scraps on a windowsill. Place the root leftover from the green-onions in a couple of inches of water.  And in just a few days you'll notice roots form but also the leaves will start to grow. Continue to harvest while in water, or plant in a container of potting-soil. 4.Ginger Root Have you ever bought ginger-root and noticed little buds forming? Plant it! You'll have fresh ginger to harvest soon enough! Soak the roots overnight to encourage growth, and then you can transfer it to a container filled with potting-soil. Ginger doesn't like standing-water, so make sure your container has drainage-holes. 5.Garlic If your garlic-cloves start to sprout, plant them! Garlic is one of the easiest plants to grow over and over again. One clove planted in the garden, in either early-fall or late winter depending on your area, can multiply into a bulb of multiple-cloves. 6.Celery Celery follows the same protocol as many others. Once you use the celery-stalks, save the end that's leftover. Place it root side down in clean water for around a week, then transfer the celery to rich, well-draining soil and watch it really start to take-off. 7.Lettuce Buy a fresh head of lettuce, make a salad, and plop the base of the leaves you're left with in a couple of inches of water. Within a week it will begin to regrow! And 8. Sweet-Potatoes If you love sweet-potatoes, consider growing them yourself! submerging more than half of a sweet-potato in a glass of water and sitting it on a sunny windowsill. Wait for sprouts to form and reach 4-inches or so Once roots form and grow a little, plant out in the garden. 06:42
Powerful Indoor Plants That Are Known To Bring You Good Health, Love And Good Luck 1. The Feng Shui Money Tree One of the most popular of plants in feng shui practices, The Money Tree is known for increasing and locking in, or securing, luck and prosperity for those who possess it. This 'locking in' is aptly symbolized by the braided trunk of the tree. What's more is that this tree, under the right humid conditions, will both flower and produce edible nuts. So even though it will never actually grow money, it certainly is a tree that keeps on giving. 2. Draecena, or, Lucky Bamboo Now this is a plant with some history! Lucky bamboo has been used for over 5,000 years in traditional feng shui practices. It is said to “bring a very peaceful and wise energy into your home It also teaches the ultimate wisdom: how to be flexible and hollow (open) on the inside, so that the spirit can freely flow and heal your being. For all of those reasons and more, lucky bamboo is extremely popular in Western culture now, too. Offices and homes alike are adorned with the plant said to bring us health, love, and of course, luck. Aside from the promise of prosperity, this plant offers a vibrant green accent to any space. 3. Spathiphyllum, or, The Peace Lily This deep green plant with gorgeous bright white blooms helps humans prosper by significantly improving their indoor air quality, helping to prevent asthma, headaches, chronic illness, cancers and more. The Peace Lily does all that simply by being there in your home. They remind us to let go of the stress that can build up in our day when the pressures of jobs and family mount. Peace lilies are great for offices to create a sense of calm during a hectic day or in bedrooms to provide a sense of tranquility and restful sleep. As a gift, peace lilies are a sign of good will. 4. Morning glory Morning glories in the garden are said to bring peace and happiness and its seeds under your pillow encourage restful sleep free of nightmares. These pretty summer flowers open their prolific bell-shaped blooms in the early morning before the summer’s midday heat, so it’s not surprisingly they have earned their reputation for helping to brighten your day. 5. jade plant The jade plant (crassula ovata) is another popular good luck charm in Asia thought to activate financial energies. This beautiful succulent has vibrant green leaves symbolic of growth and renewal, closely resembling jade coins, symbolic of wealth and prosperity. Jade is a traditional gift for businesses and many business owners place a jade plant near the entrance, or in a southeast location to bring prosperity and success. 6. Lotus Lilies paired with lotus flowers bring luck and purity to a garden. Just be mindful that to maintain positive energy, you must remove wilted or spent flowers and trim any dead or dying parts from the plant. 7.Jasmine Jasmine attracts love and money into your home, and encourages prophetic dreams! Jasmine oil is known for being one of the most powerful aphrodisiacs, so this is a fantastic plant for single babes or anyone wanting to keep the romance alive! Jasmine flowers are often worn by high priestesses. Incredibly, jasmine flowers open at night, which, to my mind, makes them even cooler. 8.Lemon tree As well as being bright and happy, lemons are a fantastic thing to have around the house! They symbolise purification and friendship, and it’s said that if you wear diluted lemon oil during the full moon, it will help you attune with its energies. 9. Miniature roses Roses are said to have the highest vibration of all living things. They attract love, healing and luck, offer protection and healing, and help with divination of all kinds. The colour of your rose has a meaning, too. White: Purifying and healing, positive energy. White with red details: Devotion and passion. Peach: Peace, spirituality and friendship. Pink: Romantic love, sweetness, fun and play. 10. Orchids They represent love: they attract love, soothe the soul, and deepen friendships. The ancient Greeks associated orchids with fertility and virility, which makes them a great gift for new parents! In this list I would love to add two herbs as well. 11. Rosemary Rosemary increases your brain power, can help you get a good night’s rest, and keep you youthful (well, so they say)! This herb attracts love and encourages lust, has properties of protection and purification, helps with healing, and can even be used in exorcisms. 12. Sage Sage is well-known for its qualities of protection. It also represents immortality, longevity, wisdom and the granting of wishes. https://wiki.nurserylive.com/t/powerful-indoor-plants-that-are-known-to-bring-you-good-health-love-and-good-luck/128?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=fbpost&utm_campaign=128

04:55
7 Plants To Keep Your House Fresh And Pollution Free The interior of your home is a reflection of who you are. Most people spend a considerable amount of time and money to create a space that they feel most relaxed in. While furniture, fabrics, and curios can add style to your interiors, nothing compares to a dash of green inside your home. 1. Ficus Tree The ficus tree, also known as the weeping fig, is a great option to add more green to your interiors. Apart from being a visual treat, this plant helps in removing airborne toxins and increasing oxygen levels. To make sure your ficus tree is healthy, place it in a bright spot where there’s enough indirect sunlight. 2. Aloe Vera Aloe vera has been used since ancient times for its medicinal properties, especially to treat cuts and burns. However, it’s a little-known fact that this healing plant can also help in keeping interior temperatures low, thus making it an ideal summer plant for your interiors. Aloe vera also improves air quality by filtering out formaldehyde from the ambient air. Aloe vera stores water in its leaves in the form of a jelly, so regular watering is not needed. 3. Areca Palm The areca palm is probably the most well known and widely used indoor plant across the world. It has air-purifying properties which remove carbon dioxide and toxins from the air. It is also an excellent humidifier which is why the areca palm has been consistently rated as one of the top choices to enhance interior environments. If you’re planning to add a few areca palms to your home, make sure to choose palms with a thicker trunk, ideally measuring an inch or more. 4. Golden Pothos This plant is known by several names such as devil’s ivy, silver vine, or simply money plant. While the plant may not grow money or silver, it can definitely add to your overall health. Golden pothos has been part of NASA’s Clean Air Study. This study found that it can absorb and remove toxins like formaldehyde, benzene, xylene, and toluene from the air. 5. Baby Rubber Plant The baby rubber plant is another member of the ficus family. This houseplant cleans the air by emitting high levels of oxygen and purifies indoor air by removing toxins such as formaldehyde. Baby rubber plants do not need frequent water, however, make sure it’s planted in rich soil and gets enough filtered light. 6. Boston Fern This indoor plant brings together style and functionality. The Boston fern is considered to be one of the best air-purifying indoor plants there is. It removes toxins such as formaldehyde and also acts as a natural humidifier. The Boston fern grows best in bright light and damp soil. However, it also can withstand low light and infrequent watering. 7. Snake Plant Commonly known as mother-in-law’s tongue, the snake plant has a unique property which makes it ideal for your bedroom. Unlike most plants, the snake plants emit oxygen in the night instead of carbon dioxide. About 6-8 waist-high snake plants can produce an oxygen output optimal for one person. The plant is also an excellent toxin remover. A NASA study found that the snake plant absorbs toxins such as benzene, formaldehyde, trichloroethylene, xylene, and toluene from the air. It’s a sturdy plant that can tolerate low light levels and irregular watering. With increasing traffic and pollution, it has become all the more important to come back to a space that helps your refresh and rejuvenate so that you’re ready to conquer the next day. Indoor plants that naturally purify the air and give out oxygen will not only enhance your living space but also give you that much-needed ambiance of tranquility. 9 Plants Which Give Out Oxygen Even During The Night 1. Aloe Vera Nature’s answer to almost every skin and health problem, Aloe Vera, the overachiever of the plant kingdom, releases plenty of oxygen at night as well. A major bonus, Aloe Vera is also an extremely hardy plant and doesn’t need to be watered very often. It reproduces very easily too, so you can go ahead and litter your whole house with pots of Aloe to get the most out of this plant. 2. Snake Plant Think the name is sinister? Its nickname, ‘Mother-In-Law’s Tongue’ is even more menacing. However, unlike your mother-in-law, you definitely want one of these around your house. It is consistently ranked as one of the best air purifiers you can have in your home and like Aloe Vera, Snake Plant is also very durable and won’t need your constant attention to thrive. 3. Neem Tree Almost synonymous with purity, the benefits of Neem have long been documented in the Indian subcontinent. Neem doesn’t just purify the air though, it also acts as a natural pesticide, creating a barrier between you and those pesky mosquitoes. In fact, Neem goes further than just killing pests, it starves them and prevents eggs from hatching. This heavy duty plant does come with a catch though. Growing it indoors requires a lot of patience and care, there needs to be plenty of sunlight in the room and the best quality soil needs to be used. 4. Holy Basil/ Tulsi While consuming the leaves of the Tulsi plant has its own benefits, having the plant near you is just as beneficial. Tulsi leaves emit a very characteristic scent which can soothe your nerves and reduce anxiety. When it’s time to hit the sack after a tiring day at work, this could be just what the doctor ordered. 5. Orchids While a bunch of orchids could beautify even a prison cell, there are far more benefits to keeping Orchids than just aesthetics. While they give off plenty of oxygen at night, which makes them perfect for keeping in a bedroom, they also banish xylene (a pollutant found in paint) from the environment and leave your house feeling fresher than ever. If you have a brown thumb, don’t fret. Orchids thrive on neglect and in fact, fussing over them too much could actually kill them. Just make sure they have enough of sunlight and let them do the rest! 6. Orange Gerbera Bring a little sunshine into your life by keeping these bright orange flowers in your room. While they simultaneously purify and perfume the air, gerberas also have a multitude of health benefits from curing colds to preventing cancer. When planting a gerbera, opt for a transplant from a nursery as these plants can be tricky to grow. 7. Peepal Tree Superstitions surrounding the Peepal tree claim that the souls of the dead live among its leaves and after reading its benefits, you’ll want to too. Apart from being a powerful source of oxygen, the leaves of the tree are also used to manage diabetes, avoid constipation and treat asthma. Perhaps this was why the Buddha chose to meditate under the Peepal tree. 8. Christmas Cactus Forget about Christmas trees, a Christmas Cactus is what you need during the festive season. It may bloom only in December but its succulent leaves and health benefits will keep you merry throughout the year. The cactus emits oxygen all through the night, helping you sleep well. It also thrives in dark rooms, making it the perfect bedroom companion. 9. Areca Palm You might only know it as the universally favourite plant for dentist waiting rooms everywhere, but the Areca Palm is also the best plant you can have indoors. These plants are particularly efficient at absorbing all kinds of harmful gases and humidifying the air. Because they’re native to dense tropical forests, they’re also well suited to areas with less sunlight. Source - http://www.curejoy.com/content/9-plants-give-oxygen-even-night/slide/

You can put these plants in doorways as a way of greeting or in active living or dining rooms for an engaging atmosphere. 3. Jade Plants Jade plants are also called “money” plants as their succulent leaves resemble coins. They look lovely on desks, atop bookshelves, or anywhere with a nice dose of light to feel their prosperous growth! Tips For Plant Growth • Light: Jade plants require a lot of sunlight, so grow them near a south-facing window. • Watering: Allow the soil to dry before rewatering and be sure to water only the soil, not the leaves. • Soil: The best soil for a jade plant is draining succulent soil. 4. Aloe Plants Aloe plants are symbolic of wellness and thriving. While the leaves can be split open to harvest a nourishing gel for skin and hair, the plant itself is an edible superfood filled with nutrients. Ideally, plant aloe in gardens where they can sprawl out and grow large. Alternatively, you can pot them on patios, in the kitchen, or on the bathroom windowsill. Tips For Plant Growth • Light: Aloe plants like sunlight, but indirect light works best to prevent burning. • Watering: These plants shouldn’t be overwatered, especially in the winter months, as they retain more water during this time. Tips For Plant Growth • Light: Basil prefers sunlight for at least 6–8 hours a day. It thrives in natural sunlight, so place it on a south-facing windowsill. • Watering: Keep the basil plant in moist, not soggy, soil as this could cause the roots to rot. • Soil: If growing indoors, a basil plant should be potted in a nutrient-rich soil with good drainage. 6. Spider Plants Spider plants can bring a sense of creative lushness to a gathering room, kitchen window, the top of a bookshelf, or any place where it can spread out and expand. Some believe that spider plants protect the home from bad vibes and negative energies. See What Happens When You Add Epsom Salt to Your Plants

03:51
Epsom-salt is a natural mineral that was first discovered in Epsom, England. People typically use Epsom-salt in the bathroom to relieve aches and pains or internally as a laxative, but it is also a garden additive that expert gardeners swear by. It can help you produce lush, healthy plants, flowers and trees.  Here Are 7-Amazing Reasons to use Epsom-salt in your garden. 1.Make fruit Sweeter. Epsom-salt, when added to trees, bushes and vines that produce fruit, boosts the chlorophyll inside the plant. When plants have more chlorophyll, they have more energy, when they have more energy, they produce more sugar. More-sugar means sweeter fruit for you to enjoy.  2.Tree stump remover. Tree stump removal can be costly, but if you don't have the money to get a stump removed, let Epsom-salt come to your rescue. Simply drill few holes into the stump and fill in the holes with Epsom-salt. In weeks, the stump will begin rotting. 3.Epsom-salt increases Nutrient Absorption. Many commercial fertilizers add magnesium to help plant roots take up vital nutrients (nitrogen, phosphorus, sulfur.) For those using all organic materials to feed their gardens, adding Epsom-salt to soil will improve absorption naturally, eliminating the need for processed chemical-fertilizers. 4.Lush lawn fertilizer. If your lawn isn't lush and beautiful, it probably needs a little magnesium in its life. To perk-up grass, add 3-pounds of Epsom-salt to every 1,250 square feet of grass and then water your-lawn. 5.Beautiful blooming roses  Ever wonder why your neighbor’s rose bushes are fuller than yours and sport so many more blossoms? It is highly likely that the answer is Epsom-salt. Epsom-salt to rose bushes encourages them to produce larger flowers with darker, deeper colors. To incorporate Epsom-salt to your rose bush's diet, add it at the time of planting and when flowers are in bloom.  6.Keep leaves green Plants that aren’t getting enough magnesium can be identified by their yellowing leaves. This is because magnesium is an essential component in the production of chlorophyll. Try sprinkling Epsom-salt around your plants to achieve healthier foliage. About 1-tablespoon per 12-inches of height once a month will benefit the plants in your vegetable-garden, as well as any trees, shrubs, flowers and grasses you want to green-up. And 7. Produce abundant nightshades. Many people enjoy growing plants from the nightshade family such as peppers, tomatoes, eggplants and potatoes. All nightshades need a lot of magnesium, so that they produce greater yields. Epsom-salt also helps improve the flavor of nightshades. To ensure the nightshades you grow in your home garden are abundant and tasty. add 1-tablespoon of Epsom-salt to your peppers and tomatoes by sprinkling it around the base of the plant. If you want the salt to dissolve more-quickly, add it to a gallon of water and water the plants with the mixture. You should continue to add the Epsom-salt to your plants every 2-weeks.  Now if you have any better ideas and suggestion of using Epsom-salt in your garden, please share them in the comments below. This Will Water Your Plants While on Vacation Works Like A Charm

03:15
Everyone needs a vacation from time to time. Pets often get put under the care of a friend, neighbour or pet boarding house, but what about plants? Some plants can last a long time without water, but other plants need weekly or even daily care. If you are going away for a trip, you need to ensure that your plants will receive enough water to survive your absence. Here are Some DIY ways worth Giving a Try. 1.Make Bottle Drip System Make sure that the soil is completely damp. If the soil is too-dry, it will soak-up all the water from your bottle before you even leave for your trip. Having the soil already damp before you begin will ensure that the plant doesn't soak-up the water too fast. Pierce several holes at the bottom and on the sides of a plastic bottle and bury it in the soil next to the plant, leaving the mouth of the bottle exposed. Just before you Leave for the trip, fill the bottle with water to the top. The water will gradually drip into the soil keeping your plants happy. 2.Water plants with a wine bottle Carefully pierce a few holes in a screw-top lid of an empty wine-bottle using a screwdriver or nail. Fill the bottle with water and then screw the lid back-on. Now bury it top side down in the soil – the water will drip through the holes slowly watering your plants. 3.Place saucers under pots. Keep indoor and outdoor potted plants on a saucer so excess water is collected and reabsorbed. 4.Self-watering pot using string Take a length of cotton string or cloth and push one end into the soil of your pot plant and the other end into a Gallon-size jar of water. When the soil becomes dry water will be drawn through the string by the genius of capillary action, rehydrating the plant. Position the jug so that it is out of direct sunlight; this will reduce the amount of evaporation, consider putting a piece of duct-tape over the mouth of the jug; be careful not to cover the string, this will help slow down the rate of evaporation. Make sure that the mouth of the jug is above the base of the plant. If the jug is too low, put it on top of a book, a block, or an upturned pot to raise it up a little. This way, the water will be able to drip down the string. The string must be able to hold-water. If it can't hold-water, this method won't work. And 5. Time Share with Friends Form a vacation watering co-op with one or more friends. Make arrangements to take-care of each other’s garden while away on vacation. You'll care for their plants while they're away and they'll care for yours, while you take off. Try and make it easier on them by keeping the hose-handy and ready to go and grouping as many plants together as you can. How To Grow Jade Plants // Grow jade plant, Crassula, Money ,Friendship, lucky plant from cutting.

Propagating Jade Plants | At Home With Updates. जेड प्लांट। Terrace Garden Propagating Jade Plants – How To Root Jade Plant Cuttings.. Many people enjoy growing jade plants at home because they are easy to care for and lovely to look at. What many people do not know is that starting a jade plant from a stem or leaf cutting is almost as easy as caring for jade plants. How to Root Jade Plant Cuttings- Growing jade plants from cuttings starts with taking the cutting. Select a branch on the jade plant that is healthy and free from disease. The branch should be 3 to 4 inches long for rooting a jade plant. If there is not a branch that long on the jade plant, you may want to try the directions for propagating jade plants from leaves (which is lower in this article). Use a sharp, clean knife to cut the selected branch off the plant. The next step for starting a jade plant from a cutting is to allow the cutting to dry. The wound on the jade plant cutting you have taken will be wet and will invite disease if you try to root it wet. Allow the jade plant cutting to rest in a dry, preferably warm, spot until a callous develops (about one to two weeks). In order to further make sure that disease does not infect the jade plant cutting, you can dust the open wound with rooting hormone, which will also contain an anti-fungal compound. Once the cut on the jade plant cutting has dried, place the cutting into a potting mixture made of half vermiculite or perlite and half soil. When rooting a jade plant, water sparingly so that the potting mixture is only damp until the jade plant cutting takes root. After it has rooted, you can treat it as you would a normal jade plant.
