What is GUARANTEED INVESTMENT CONTRACT? What does GUARANTEED INVESTMENT CONTRACT mean?

What is GUARANTEED INVESTMENT CONTRACT? What does GUARANTEED INVESTMENT CONTRACT mean? GUARANTEED INVESTMENT CONTRACT meaning - GUARANTEED INVESTMENT CONTRACT definition - GUARANTEED INVESTMENT CONTRACT explanation. SUBSCRIBE to our Google Earth flights channel - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC6UuCPh7GrXznZi0Hz2YQnQ Source: Wikipedia.org article, adapted under https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/ license. A guaranteed investment contract (GIC) is a contract that guarantees repayment of principal and a fixed or floating interest rate for a predetermined period of time. Guaranteed investment contracts are typically issued by life insurance companies qualified for favorable tax status under the Internal Revenue Code (for example, 401(k) plans). A GIC is used primarily as a vehicle that yields a higher return than a savings account or United States Treasury securities and GICs are often used as investments for stable value funds. GICs are sometimes referred to as funding agreements, although this term is often reserved for contracts sold to non-qualified institutions. Example: Funds obtained through a municipal bond issuance will generally take time to be drawn down. Depositing the bond proceeds in a GIC gives the bond issuer the liquidity of having the funds available while earning a higher rate of return than it would earn in a money market account. GICs are considered safe vehicles since most insurance companies offering them are rated in the AA to AAA range. The term "GIC" is sometimes used in the context of "Guaranteed Investment Agreements" (GIAs). As of 1990, a large amount of people's 401k retirement money had been invested into GICs. However, when life insurance companies started failing, people began to lose their faith in GICs as a product. For example, Executive Life Insurance Company had some junk bond problems in 1990, and people started redeeming their GICs. So many people redeemed Executive GICs that it couldn't pay all that it owed. It was 'failed' and seized by the government. Investors who had bought GICs, such as the Unisys employee fund, found that their money was frozen. This resulted in a lawsuit against Unisys. In 1995 the New York State Insurance Department enabled the 'monoline' municipal-bond insurance companies to write insurance on GICs. Thus if the GIC issuer failed, the monoline insurer could pay back investors instead. Insured GICs were called "wrapped" GICs. In the late 2000s, AIG, a holding company and not an insurance company, was bailed out by the federal government to the tune of over a hundred billion dollars. The NY Times reported that some of the government money (at least 9 billion dollars) was used to pay out on "Guaranteed Investment Agreement" contracts that AIG had sold to investors. In 2010 many GIC sellers were sued by counties such as Los Angeles and Oakland over alleged price fixing regarding GICs. Many large banks and other companies were named as 'co-conspirators'

What is a Smart Contract? A Beginner’s Guide

What is a Smart Contract? A Beginner’s Guide You'll receive $10 in free bitcoin by signing up with this link http://bit.ly/2oesV41 Bitcoin & Etherum Storage Wallet: http://bit.ly/2o7BmgW Book Recommendations: http://amzn.to/2pv7kF4 Get One-to-One Consulting https://clarity.fm/ameerrosic Blockchain Training: http://bit.ly/2nGhdn0 Quadrigacx Canadian Crypto Exchange: http://bit.ly/2papyuV What are Smart Contracts? Smart contracts help you exchange money, property, shares, or anything of value in a transparent, conflict-free way, while avoiding the services of a middleman. The best way to describe smart contracts is to compare the technology to a vending machine. Ordinarily, you would go to a lawyer or a notary, pay them, and wait while you get the document. With smart contracts, you simply drop a bitcoin into the vending machine (i.e. ledger), and your escrow, driver’s license, or whatever drops into your account. More so, smart contracts not only define the rules and penalties around an agreement in the same way that a traditional contract does, but also automatically enforce those obligations. Example Suppose you rent an apartment from me. You can do this through the blockchain by paying in cryptocurrency. You get a receipt which is held in our virtual contract; I give you the digital entry key which comes to you by a specified date. If the key doesn’t come on time, the blockchain releases a refund. If I send the key before the rental date, the function holds it releasing both the fee and key to you and me respectively when the date arrives. The system works on the If-Then premise and is witnessed by hundreds of people, so you can expect a faultless delivery. If I give you the key, I’m sure to be paid. If you send a certain amount in bitcoins, you receive the key. The document is automatically cancelled after the time, and the code cannot be interfered by either of us without the other knowing, since all participants are simultaneously alerted. You can use smart contracts for all sort of situations that range from financial derivatives to insurance premiums, breach contracts, property law, credit enforcement, financial services, legal processes and crowd funding agreements. Rental Properties Insurance - Investor Guide to Rental Property Insurance - REIClub.com

http://www.REIClub.com Rental Property Insurance Is Essential For Your Real Estate Rentals. Here's What You Need To Know About Insuring Rental Properties... SUBSCRIBE TO OUR YOUTUBE CHANNEL http://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=reiclub SUBSCRIBE TO OUR FREE NEWSLETTER https://www.reiclub.com/real-estate-newsletter.php LET’S CONNECT http://www.facebook.com/reiclub http://twitter.com/reiclub https://plus.google.com/+reiclub http://www.pinterest.com/realestateclub/ Hi, this is Frank Chen with REIClub.com, the only site you need as a real estate investor. Today I've got quick video on rental property insurance. Intro to Rental Property Insurance The type of insurance coverage landlords need falls under the umbrella term "property and casualty insurance". We also encourage Landlords to look into Liability insurance, which i'll cover a bit later in the video. Homeowners insurance mainly focuses on the coverage for the contents of the house, as a Landlord, you don't really need that. You need rental property insurance. Rental property insurance policies are written for structures that are four units or less. Anything above that, becomes a commercial risk, which requires a commercial policy.. The policy is written as a package policy, meaning that it covers a number of what insurance companies refer to as "perils." These are things like... - Fire, Hail theft, tornado, hurricane, wind, and water. - Also covers detached structures on the property like a garage or a storage shed. Important to have the appropriate rental insurance Insurance companies assume... (some items require liability insurance in order to be covered) - the risk for damages to your property - Covers you against any injuries or accidents that may occur (Note: The Landlord is liable if he is negligible. So anything, that you as the landlord are supposed to fix, if it causes injury or an accident, you are responsible.) - Covers legal fees - Loss of rents - Tax Deductions - Note: What is listed is not guaranteed for all policies. Limitations when insuring rentals - Fire - only landlord property is insured, not tenants - Limitations on what contents can be insured? - Clauses for theft - Does not cover earthquakes - separate policy - Flooding - natural disaster Note: Just be sure to consult with your real estate insurance agent on the specifics behind your policy and the limitations. Selecting an Insurance Company for Rental Insurance - Price is important - avg $800 for the year - Legitimate and creditworthy - Contact state's insurance department to make sure the company is licensed - Financial strength - Moody's standard & poor's - Ask for referrals - proven track record - Check out - service reps - speed with which the claims are appraised, processed and paid - overall satisfaction To reduce risk - Insist that your tenants acquire renters insurance - low cost policies - Periodically, make sure the fire extinguisher is working and the tenant knows where it is - Show the tenant where the main water valve is, AND how to shut it off. - Semi-Annual inspections - also check air filters As a real estate investor, Landlord, it is your responsibility to protect your real estate investments. Especially, when you have tenants. Not every property will need the most expensive coverage, so before spending several hundreds, or thousands of dollars on rental property insurance. Take the time to educate your tenants, and research for the best type of policy or coverage for your real estate investment. Again, this is Frank Chen with REIClub.com. Guaranteed Income Fund - What is a Guaranteed Income Fund

09:58
What are guaranteed income funds – What is a guaranteed income fund? 1-800-566-1002 http://www.RetireSharp.com . What are the best types of guaranteed income funds and learn how you can avoid the most common mistakes that individuals have made when looking to set up a guaranteed income fund. Retirement Investment Choices Between Guaranteed Income, Safe Income, And Growth Considering how to invest your retirement money can make you crazy. But if you think through the reasons for choosing which type investment (or combination) is best for you, you can recover your sanity. So, let's review the reasons for choosing each of the 3 retirement investments: guaranteed income, safe income, and growth. -Taking your income from fixed annuity payouts: When you annuitize your fixed annuity, you get a guaranteed income for the rest of your life. You can also guarantee payments to a surviving spouse or your estate, if you choose to pay extra for that option. Of course once you begin payments, you can't change this investment. So who should choose this? Reasons for investing in a fixed annuity include: * You don't have to worry about investing that money anymore. * You have limited retirement savings, and are worried about how they will last * You're in good health and expect to live a long life * Interest rates are very high, so you can get a good monthly income, and * You're not worried about inflation's effect on your income * Other people depend on you for income. -Taking your income from 'safe' income-generating investments: To provide a fixed income from earnings you can invest in government bonds, and treasury bills and even Guaranteed Investment Certificates (GICs). And you can change your investments whenever you want. And who is this type of investment for? Reasons for investing in a 'safe' income investment include: * You've only a few sources of income after you retire so you can't afford to risk much. * Other people depend on you for income. * You like having the option of changing your investment in response to interest rate changes. * Inflation's effect maybe worrisome but maintaining an income is more important -Relying on growth investments to increase the value of your investment: You may consider increasing the value of your money to preserve its purchasing power over time. To do so, you'll need to invest in growth stocks or the related growth funds. But with the potential for growth comes a higher risk of losing investment money - at least for a time. Is this for you? How to Build a Financial Empire: Investment Banks, Insurance, Consumer Loans & Stocks (2003)

56:58
Sanford I. "Sandy" Weill (born March 16, 1933) is an American banker, financier and philanthropist. He is a former chief executive and chairman of Citigroup. He served in those positions from 1998 until October 1, 2003, and April 18, 2006, respectively. About the book: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0743247264/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=0743247264&linkCode=as2&tag=tra0c7-20&linkId=9a4623139d172f3b97151775dc62c2e0 Weill, shortly after graduating from Cornell University, got his first job on Wall Street in 1955 -- as a runner for Bear Stearns. In 1956, Weill became a licensed broker at Bear Stearns. Rather than making phone calls or personal visits to solicit clients, Weill found he was far more comfortable sitting at his desk, poring through companies' financial statements and disclosures made to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. For weeks his only client was his mother, Etta, until Joan persuaded an ex-boyfriend to open a brokerage account. While working at Bear Stearns, Weill was a neighbor of Arthur L. Carter who was working at Lehman Brothers. Together with Roger Berlind and Peter Potoma they would form Carter, Berlind, Potoma & Weill in May 1960. In 1962 the firm became Carter, Berlind & Weill after the New York Stock Exchange brought disciplinary proceedings against Potoma. In 1968, with the departure of Arthur Carter, the firm was renamed Cogan, Berlind, Weill & Levitt (Marshall Cogan, Arthur Levitt), or CBWL jokingly referred to on Wall Street as "Corned Beef With Lettuce". Weill served as the firm's Chairman from 1965 to 1984, a period in which it completed over 15 acquisitions to become the country's second largest securities brokerage firm. The company became CBWL-Hayden, Stone, Inc. in 1970; Hayden Stone, Inc. in 1972; Shearson Hayden Stone in 1974, when it merged with Shearson Hammill & Co.; and Shearson Loeb Rhoades in 1979, when it merged with Loeb, Rhoades, Hornblower & Co. With capital totaling $250 million, Shearson Loeb Rhoades trailed only Merrill Lynch as the securities brokerage industry's largest firm. In 1981, Weill sold Shearson Loeb Rhoades to American Express for about $930 million in stock. (Sources differ on the precise figure.) In 1982, he founded the National Academy Foundation with the Academy of Finance to educate students that would graduate from High School. Weill began serving as president of American Express Co. in 1983 and as chairman and CEO of American Express's insurance subsidiary, Fireman's Fund Insurance Company, in 1984. Weill was succeeded by his protégé, Peter A. Cohen, who became the youngest head of a Wall Street firm. While at American Express, Weill began grooming his newest protégé, Jamie Dimon, the future CEO of JPMorgan Chase. Increasing tensions between Weill and the chairman of American Express, James D. Robinson III, led Weill to resign in August 1985 at age 52. After a failed attempt to become the CEO of BankAmerica Corp. (and "take over" Merrill Lynch, according to a Jamie Dimon interview in 2002), he set his sights a little lower and persuaded Minneapolis-based Control Data Corporation to spin off a troubled subsidiary, Commercial Credit, a consumer finance company. In 1986, with $7 million of his own money invested in the company, Weill took over as CEO of Commercial Credit. After a round of deep layoffs and reorganization, the company completed a successful IPO. In 1987, he acquired Gulf Insurance. The next year, he paid $1.5 billion for Primerica, the parent company of Smith Barney and the A. L. Williams insurance company. In 1989 he acquired Drexel Burnham Lambert's retail brokerage outlets. In 1992, he paid $722 million to buy a 27 percent share of Travelers Insurance, which had gotten into trouble because of bad real estate investments. In 1993 he reacquired his old Shearson brokerage (now Shearson Lehman) from American Express for $1.2 billion. By the end of the year, he had completely taken over Travelers Corp in a $4 billion stock deal and officially began calling his corporation Travelers Group Inc. In 1996 he added to his holdings, at a cost of $4 billion, the property and casualty operations of Aetna Life & Casualty. In September 1997 Weill acquired Salomon Inc., the parent company of Salomon Brothers Inc. for over $9 billion in stock. In April 1998, Travelers Group announced an agreement to undertake the $76 billion merger between Travelers and Citicorp, and the merger was completed on October 8, 1998. The possibility remained that the merger would run into problems connected with federal law. Ever since the Glass--Steagall Act, banking and insurance businesses had been kept separate. Weill and John S. Reed bet that Congress would soon pass legislation overturning those regulations, which Weill, Reed and a number of businesspeople considered not in their interest. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sandy_Weill

💸FNMA Stock/FMCC Stock Analysis-Is the Upside in FNMA and FMCC Gigantic? 💸

13:34
Why Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae Stocks Are Potential 10-Baggers, 10x, or 10 times your money Is the upside in FNMA and FMCC gigantic? During the mortgage crisis, Federal National Mortgage Association (FNMA) and Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corp (FMCC) had to be bailed out by the government or so we were told. The U.S. government dumped $187 billion into the agencies. In exchange, it was given warrants to buy 79% of the companies, and the investment (which was in preferred stock) would earn 10% of the agencies’ net profits each quarter. Then the Treasury Department, in an arguably illegal and unconstitutional move, changed the rules so it would sweep out all the net profits of the agencies. The idea was that since FNMA and FMCC as companies were in a death spiral, or so it appeared, and the thinking by the Treasury Department was protecting taxpayer money by taking all the profits and making sure it didn’t have to throw new capital at another bailout. At least, that was the idea. Instead, to the surprise of no one considering this was a move by the government, it actually puts FNMA and FMCC in worse shape since they are being stripped of their capital. The result is FNMA and FMCC are now backstopping some $5 trillion in mortgage debt and have no capital. Moreover, while FNMA and FMCC are controlled by the government, it is actually via a conservatorship which is only supposed to last until the companies are in “sound and solvent condition.” Investors are arguing that FNMA/FMCC have not only repaid taxpayers, but the two companies were stolen from investors. Various lawsuits addressing one of the largest cases of thievery in the United States history have challenged this have been shot down so far, but investors remain hopeful. Not only are FNMA/FMCC profitable now, but they are turning a large profit. U.S. taxpayers have now received back over $260 billion on the $187 billion investment — a $73 billion profit, or 40%. Remember that the companies were only supposed to be in government conservatorship until they achieved “sound and solvent condition.” What many are pushing for, including hedge fund managers Bill Ackman and Bruce Berkowitz, is for the government to recapitalize FNMA and FMCC. Let the companies do their jobs again, with proper reform. Ackman’s proposal to reform FNMA and FMCC suggests possibly future value for them between $23 and $47 per share. And now, there is finally serious talk of reform going on in Congress. Senators Corker and Warner have a proposal that would keep Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac but create competitors, as well as create an explicit guarantee from the government on mortgage bonds that are created under reform. Congressman Hensarling indicated he’d be open to a government guarantee on some mortgage bonds but didn’t want it to be terribly large. New competitors would have to have stress tests and sell off some of the risks to private investors. Even then there would be yet another guarantee put up by the government that would not be a taxpayer burden. Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin confirmed what we already knew: Reform of the government-sponsored enterprises isn’t happening this year. Still, Mnuchin remained bullish about prospects for picking up the debate in 2019. “We'll come back to this next year and this will be a big focus of mine post the elections,” he told Fox Business in an interview. “I’m determined that we have a fix to the GSEs and don’t leave them in conservatorship for the rest of time.” Bottom Line on FNMA and FMCC Stock What are the potential outcomes for FNMA stock and FMCC stock? Steve Mnuchin the United States treasury secretary believes FNMA/FMCC are a 2019 story. Steve Mnuchin has already stated he wants to take FNMA/FMCC out of conservatorship. Yes common shareholders could be wiped out because there are preferred shareholders ahead of them. There is a possibility for the shares to go to zero, BUT we aren’t talking about betting the farm here. When the numbers are broken down the United States stole Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac a private company FROM shareholders who still haven’t received compensation. Taxpayers have already turned a massive profit on the bail out by the U.S. government that many argue was unnecessary in the first place. As the clock continues ticking I believe we are getting close to a resolution one way or the other. It’s all or nothing with an investment in FNMA/FMCC and I view the two stocks as options contracts that are skewed in our favor. The only difference is we aren’t paying a huge time premium. Throwing even a couple hundred dollars into these companies and forgetting about it may well be worth the risk because they may potentially be 10 baggers.

http://www.extraordinaryre.com/ http://xreholdings.com/ Extraordinary Re (reinsurance) is the first liquid market place for contracts that have never been traded before. We solve 3 important problems. First financial exchanges can’t list insurance contracts. Sales of insurance products have been flat, but there are new demands for insurance products across the globe. Investors are looking for returns that are not correlated with broad stock market returns. So how do you solve these problems? Extraordinary Re (reinsurance) creates a liquid market place for contracts that insure the world’s most extraordinary risks. On the inside it’s a liquid market place. Shares of contracts are traded. On the outside it’s a new class of what are called Insurance Linked securities or ILS. ILS is the fast growing part of the insurance industry. ILS grew from $16 Billion in 2009 to $45B in 2014. This is our market. We’re going to take the lid off the growth of ILS. Insurance liabilities total $22 Trillion today. Not $1 of that is traded but the asset investors, the pension plans, the high net worth individuals, the corporate mutual funds. - they invest a multiple of that $22 Trillion. They’re looking for returns that aren’t correlated with board stock market averages. Now we have 2 patents on the technology but this is where you come in. The value of our company depends on the number of traders in our liquid market place. To prove the concept and enroll traders, we’re creating a simulation of a liquid market place; a management game if you will. Here’s how we’ll spend the, money. 50% for the development of the software and 50% for marketing to the insurance industry and the trading community. We know that anything this good for the world in a market this large is going to provide a great return for the investors. The insurance (reinsurance) industry wants to know that these extraordinary risks are in demand and that people are going to pay insurance premiums for these. So this is where you come in. What is Infinite Banking? - High Cash Value Life Insurance as an Investment

03:03
What is Infinite Banking? Infinite Banking utilizes a concept originated by R. Nelson Nash, from his book, "Becoming Your Own Banker." This concept is based around high cash value life insurance as an investment vehicle. The reason Infinite Banking gets so much attention is because of the safe investments it is based around. No other investment works quite like cash value life insurance. By utilizing the power of whole life insurance as an investment (or also called permanent life insurance as an investment), we can grow our money in a much more predictable way. Cash value life insurance (if structured properly by a professional) offers minimum guaranteed returns, competitive growth, tax-free growth, tax-free transfer to heirs at death, complete liquidity and access to money, and no-loss provisions. Although this is a long-term strategy, it can match up to almost any Wall-Street type investment. This strategy is not for everyone. However, if safety and security are more important to you than risk, Infinite Banking may be right for you. -------- "What is Infinite Banking? A recent Dalbar study of equity mutual funds showed investors earning a 30 year return of just 3.66 percent. And those with asset allocation funds had returns of only 1.65 percent. All this in a year where the S&P 500 earned 10.65 percent. So, with all the highs and lows of investing, it turns out investors aren’t really making that much progress. But there has to be a way to earn competitive returns on your money without the emotional rollercoaster of Wall-Street investing. This is exactly what Infinite Banking does. You see, Infinite Banking utilizes high cash value life insurance to safely grow your money at a predictable rate. I know what you are thinking. Life insurance. What a horrible investment, right? But what most people don’t know is that, if properly structured and handled, whole life insurance can have some extremely attractive benefits. First off, if we structure a life insurance policy for cash value, it can have more growth in the short term, while also having considerable and competitive growth in the long term. One study showed whole life insurance policies growing at 6.52% over the long-term. And this is tax-free growth as well. See, we put money into a life insurance policy after we pay taxes, then, if we do things right, we will never pay taxes on the growth inside that policy. So, we have a competitive product that grows tax free. But life insurance offers us so much more than just that. Unlike your 401k or IRA, life insurance policies are liquid, meaning we can take our money out and use it whenever we want." -------- Follow us: https://business.facebook.com/wealthtreefinancial/ https://twitter.com/wealthtreefin https://www.linkedin.com/company/wealth-tree-financial https://plus.google.com/b/117834108999115858549/117834108999115858549 https://business.google.com/b/117834108999115858549/edit/l/03934285967302186885?pageId=117834108999115858549&hl=en https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCkQiTepTXj8GP_IvJTksIIw -- Wealth Tree Financial offers financial planning and education based on safe investments strategies: such as Infinite Banking and Indexed Annuities. The Infinite Banking Concept, from Nelson Nash in his book “Becoming Your Own Banker,” utilizes high cash value life insurance as an investment tool for safe investing. Because of the benefits of life insurance we can grow our money inside cash value life insurance, without losing money when the market goes down. We still have competitive growth inside life insurance policies while having liquidity and access to our money. Indexed Annuities offer safe retirement investments while still having the option for tax-deferred plans. Indexed Annuities do not lose money when the market goes down. However, by exchanging some of what we make on the upswing, we can eliminate the downside of the market. These are a few of the recommended safe investment options that Wealth Tree Financial offers. We pride ourselves in educating our clients on the best safe investments for them.
