What to do if work sucks, your job sucks and you don't make enough money or you need more free time

06:27
Hey friends, today I wax philosophical on understanding whether your current job is truly livelihood or a slow death marked by a lack of free time for self-care and enjoyment of relationships and recreational activities. Being broke sucks but getting a job that sucks is not the solution. Here's the factors you should keep in mind when sizing up your current job/employment/work/unemployment. http://facebook.com/officialPatRIOT

I Don't Earn Enough to Save Money

04:43
http://www.cambridgecredit.org -- In a report on wealth and savings, researchers Steven F. Venti and David A. Wise found some high-income people wind up with little wealth, and that some low-income people accumulate a great amount. It's not the income level, or circumstance, that makes the difference, but how much people choose to save. Sure, higher earnings leads to greater potential for savings, but the real key is, how do you want to live your life? Watch this week's webisode from Cambridge Credit Counseling Corp. to learn more. Host: Community Outreach Director, Thomas J. Fox. Transcription:Hello, and welcome to Your Money 2.0. I’m Thomas Fox, Community Outreach Director of Cambridge Credit Counseling. Throughout my career, I’ve heard time and again from people about how difficult it is to save money. Each person’s rationale differs, but the most common argument I’ve heard is, “I don’t make enough money to save.” Understandably, each of us has different circumstances. I’ve spoken to thousands of people with modest incomes who support families, manage high levels of debt, and who struggle to save any money at the end of the month. I’ve also heard from thousands of people in the upper middle class who support families, manage high levels of debt, and fail to save appropriately. (It almost goes without saying that the lack of savings in both groups reflects our country’s inattention to financial literacy.) The truth is, there should be room for savings in nearly every budget. First, let’s dispel the myth only people who earn high incomes can save. In a report on wealth and savings, researchers Steven F. Venti and David A. Wise found that some high-income people wind up with little wealth, and that some low-income people accumulate a great amount. It’s not the income level, or circumstance, that makes the difference, but how much people choose to save. Sure, higher earnings leads to a greater potential for savings, but the real key is, how do you want to live your life? Trust me, I’ve gone through the pain of worrying about how the next electric bill would be paid, or deciding how I could afford to get my bakes repaired. I’ve agonized over the realization that I was unprepared to meet my obligations because of my financial situation. My obstacles were the same ones many of you face now – I earned next to nothing, I had no savings, and the stress of dealing with my bills left me feeling hopeless. However, my experiences eventually led me to an obvious conclusion – it’s better to live without, than be without. I decided that even though I made minimum wage, a portion of that had to go to savings. That meant I had to make some very different choices in the way I spent my earnings. Much has changed in my life since that time, but one thing has remained the same – I am frugal, and I’m not alone. Over the last few years, I’ve read a number of stories about people who achieved extraordinary savings while earning modest incomes. There is the story of the retired social worker who left $1.3 million to charities in her community. She drove a beat-up car, lived in the same house for 40 years, but she also travelled throughout Europe and built an impressive amount of wealth from a fairly modest income. Then there is the farmer who lived in a run-down mobile home, surrounded by rusting farm equipment, who willed $2 million to his church. And finally, there is a teacher who never earned more than $28,000 a year who, upon his death, gave $2.1 million to his alma mater for the establishment of scholarships to benefit African-American children. The common thread in these stories is the belief that money is simply a means to an end. Instead of allowing money to control their lives, these individuals controlled their finances and exercised firm discipline when it came to expenses that weren’t on their particular list of priorities. They could have looked at money as a fleeting resource, but they didn’t. These regular people understood that their time and effort could mean much more in the end, and they saved money to make their dreams a reality. You can build wealth too, simply by taking command of your earnings. Each week, pay yourself first – you worked hard, and you deserve it! It’s best to commit 10% of your income to savings, but start out with 5% if that’s more comfortable. The point is, save something. By taking the time to sit down and really examine our spending, I’m sure each of us can identify 5% to 10% that can be redistributed to savings. If you’re unsure where to start or you just want help establishing a budget, call a non-profit credit counseling agency, such as Cambridge, and work with a certified credit counselor who can get you on the road to saving.

The Work is based on FOUR QUESTIONS which can be done on your own or with another person, ending with a process called a "Turnaround": The four questions are: 1. Is it true? 2. Can you absolutely know that it's true? 3. How do you react when you believe that thought? 4. Who would you be without the thought? I Know How To Make Lots Of Money When You Are 12

04:51
★ DO YOU WANT TO GET YOUR STORY ANIMATED? SEND IT TO [email protected] IT WILL BE GIVEN A VOICE OVER BY A PROFESSIONAL ACTOR AND AN ANIMATOR WILL MAKE A VIDEO OUT OF IT! ★ Subscribe ACTUALLY HAPPENED https://bit.ly/2J5HP7j This is Alan! You know what’s cooler than having a ton of money? Knowing how to make even more. And Alan knows how! You probably straight away think that he must be full of himself, so let him tell you his story. He’s 17 now, but this all happened when he was 12. So, Alan’s family is not very well off. They’re so poor that he wore the same shoes for an entire year, no matter whether it was raining or snowing. But those were good shoes; like, very durable ones. Like, they were the Iron Man of shoes – nothing could destroy them. They were much better than his brother’s, which made his feet hurt sometimes. But still, Alan’s shoes were veeery ugly, and he really wanted new ones. He dreamed of getting these sneakers that he’d seen once in a store. You may think that this was shallow – but remember that he was only 12 at the time. And in any case there was no way he could act on his wish to buy those shoes. He didn’t have any money! So you might think that he eventually gave up on the idea...but nope, not really. He started thinking that if he could just find a way of somehow making money, he could buy those shoes. And they weren’t cheap… His dad was always saying that he should study harder than he himself had, so that he could have a better life, and both Alan and his younger brother really took that advice to heart. He was a really diligent student and spent so much time studying. He got good grades but had no money, whereas plenty of his classmates got bad grades but had a lot of money. So Alan made them an offer – he would do their homework in exchange for money. Not a lot of money, but enough to save up and buy those sneakers after a couple of months. It was a pretty easy task for him, because basically, all he had to do was copy out his homework for them, changing it just a little so that nobody would know. He even had different prices for As, Bs, and other grades. And he also helped the older kids a little with some of their subjects – not like, math, but literature and history. Alan’s scheme went great at first, but then almost everybody stopped paying. He wondered why, and it turned out that they had made one guy pay and then copied his homework. He had to find a way to fix this, so he told them that if they were going do that, he would have to raise the price. They didn’t like that, but they also didn’t want to do their own homework, so they agreed and everything went back to normal. But then one of the guys wasn’t happy about it, and he actually revealed everything to the teacher. The teacher was very angry with Alan, and warned him that he had to stop doing it or else he and the other guys would have a lot of problems. So, he had to stop...but he still hadn't saved up enough to buy the sneakers he wanted. So of course, he came up with a new plan. Because many of the older kids now knew who he was, and their teachers didn’t know about his tricks, he asked them to give him cool stuff in exchange for their homework. You know – like toys, action figures, simple gadgets. He would then start playing with them in class, making it look like he was having a lot of fun. To be honest, it WAS fun. And, if someone asked him if they could play with something, he would say no, which made them want it more and more. Then at some point he would rent it to them or even sell it. Soon, he was buying stuff from the older kids and selling it for more money, instead of doing their homework. But of course, sooner or later their parents started to notice, and the teacher got angry with him again, saying that he was abusing the other children and it wasn’t okay. He disagreed, because they were very happy with all of it and henever like, forced them to buy anything. Eventually, he finally had enough money to buy the sneakers he had dreamed of for so long. So Alan bought them and went home. Finally, all his hard work had paid off, and even if he had found himself in a lot of trouble, he still ended up with what he wanted. Then he saw his brother’s shoes – they were in a way worse state than his, and he remembered how many times his brother had told him how much his feet hurt, and he was constantly sick because his shoes had a lot of holes in them and got wet every time he stepped in a puddle. So he gave the sneakers to his brother, and he was so happy and surprised. Honestly, it was much better to see his brother happy than to keep them for himself. His parents were angry at him at first, because they thought he had stolen them, but he then explained how he got them. And then they were proud of him because they thought he had done it all for his brother. He didn’t tell them that it had originally all been for himself, though. 05:58
How to save up money easily for a house or for a new car? Learn a genius hack on how to save more money each month. As a bonus, we'll tell teach you how to safely hide your cash. "If only I could stop spending money on stuff I don’t need, I would buy so many useful things!" Have you ever thought this? Then this video is just for you. RULE 1: Subtract the last digit from each number to get a zero at the end. It’s easier to “zero out” cash into a piggy bank, and you may use a savings account or any other bank account to transfer the money from your card. RULE 2: Save everything that’s left over before payday — "zero out" one more time at the end of the month. For instance, you still have $300 in cash and $1,000 in the bank — just move it to your savings account. TIMESTAMPS «Zero out» your money every evening 0:31 Move any unspent money to your saving account 1:46 What are the advantages of this simple method? 2:05 The worst places to hide your cash: In the backyard 2:41 Under your mattress 2:58 In shopping bags 3:13 In old wallets and handbags 3:27 In laundry baskets 3:40 Behind a picture or photo in a frame 3:58 In safes that are not bolted down 4:13 In drawers and cabinets 4:34 Where to hide your money 4:53 SUMMARY If you feel like you have run out of places to hide your money, try the following suggestions: • Wrap your money in a plastic bag, and tape it to the bottom of the kitchen counter or to the bottom of your kid’s toy box (the best option is to create a false bottom in it). • In a waterproof container stored in the lowest drawer of your refrigerator or freezer. Make sure it doesn’t read "Ice cream" or something else yummy thieves might want to try. • Hide your savings among buttons, threads, and other sewing accessories. Unless thieves suddenly need to sew something, they most probably won’t look for your money in there. • In a pair of old shoes, clothes, or maybe in an old computer that no longer works. Make sure it all looks like junk you have not disposed of yet. Overcoming the "I don't have the money" Objection in Network Marketing

04:40
Overcoming The "I don't have the money" Objection! Welcome back to part 3 of the closing series on how to overcome objections in network marketing! In the last video I laid out a proven framework for you to overcome objections and now we're going to dive into very common and specific objections. This is one we all hear everyday, "I don't have the money...". So you introduce someone to the business and they say, "You know, it's great but I don't have the money..." So we go back to the framework for overcoming objections in network marketing and it usually goes something like this: (I'm going to lay this out as a script to make it easier) You: "You know I totally hear where you're coming from but tell me this. Do you REALLY not have the money or is that just your polite way of telling me no?" Them: And in most cases, there going to say, "No, I just don't have the money" You: "Well, tell me this. Do you WANT to do this?" IMPORTANT: Then you just WAIT! Because if they really don't want to do it, you're job is to sort not sell and go find someone who DOES want to do it. What you're looking for at this point is for them to start selling you on them wanting to join the business. 1. If they don't want to do it, you're done here and it's time to thank them for taking a look and to move on. 2. If they start selling you on the idea that they want to do it, you proceed forward. Them: "Yes, I really do want to do it!" You: "Are you SURE? Do you REALLY want to do this and do you want to make it work for you?" You want to have them tell you a second time, "Yes! I really do" At this point yo've gotten them to convince you twice that they want to do it. Now you're job is to become a consultant. Help them find a way to get what they just told you they want. Here are some methods to use to help people get a clear perspective on their perceived limitations. What you have to understand is that most people just don't think with a "can do" attitude and it's become your job to help them develop that mindset moving forward. And when you focus on the fact that that attitude will not only get them what they want from the business but will greatly enhance their life, you're doing them a HUGE service and it's something you can be proud of. You're not selling them on the business, you're consulting them on their own hidden ability to create what they want out of life! So here are some methods I use to do this: You: "Who do you love most in your life?" Them: "Person X" (Let's call say it's their Mom) You: "Let's say your Mom get's thrown in jail today (obviously for a crime she didn't commit) and bail costs (whatever the cost of your opportunity is, let's say $500 dollars), what are you gonna do? Are gonna let your Mom stay in jail all night overnight with a bunch of other criminals or... are you gonna find a way to come up with the bail money?" Pause and WAIT for an answer. Almost every time they're going to say they are going to bail Mom out! You: "That's awesome! Well, here's my advice to you. You could obviously come up with the money because you could come up with it for your Mom so come up with the money, let's get you started here, let's get you earning some money and let's get you out of financial jail! Because that's really what you're in..." Pause and let that sink in for a minute. Another scenario I use after they decided they want to do the business is this. You: "Let me ask you this. If I could sell you a brand new $150K Ferrari for $500 dollars BUT you had to come up with the money in the next 24 hours, would yo buy the Ferrari?" Pause and wait for an answer. Them: "Of course I'd buy it!" You: (Consultant mode) "Obviously you CAN come up with the money so let's help you! What do we need to do to help you come up with the money in the next 24 hours? Because we want to get you into a situation where you become financially free and you can one day buy that Ferrari!" Always approach this with the mindset that you're helping people because you are! Helping them get over limiting beliefs, helping create opportunity. Helping them create a "can do success based attitude". And helping them take a step down a path that leads them to a life they always dream about but never take action to create! How To Turn Your Yearly Income Into Your Monthly Income - Bob Proctor [ The Law of Compensation ]

15:20
Bob Proctor teaches How Money is Earned, The Law of Compensation, and explains the difference between the Three Income-Earning Strategies: M1, M2, and M3. FREE Download! You Were Born Rich eBook!: http://bit.ly/2qluzU6 Imagine making money without working for it. Sound impossible, unless you’re investing it? Well, it’s not. Thousands of people are making twice as much money without working twice as long. In fact, relatively speaking, they’re hardly working more at all. How are they doing it? Through Multiple Sources of Income (MSI). MSI should be viewed as passive sources of income, not another job. Why? Because if you get a second or third job, you’ll have to trade your time for money, and eventually you’ll run out of time. Virtually all wealthy people have several little “streams” of income coming in that eventually build into a “river” of wealth. I’ve been a huge proponent of MSI ever since I passed out on the street in the mid-1960s from working too many jobs. That’s why I’m thrilled to announce an exciting new opportunity for you to start earning passive income from PGI. You see, we have a brand new affiliate program that permits you to get paid a commission every time someone you refer to us purchases one of our products or programs. If you like what we’re doing at PGI, and believe our products can help people in your circle of influence, this program can be a great benefit to you. If you’re new to affiliate marketing, you probably have some questions about how it works. Well, don’t worry—we’ve set the program up through a company called Clickbank, and they have tons of resources to help you become successful as an affiliate. This is one of the best ways to get your feet wet when creating multiple sources of income. You’re using an established system that has already been built up and tested. The marketing and product delivery are handled by someone else. And it’s easy to track your sales. So how does it work? Just sign up for the program, tell others about us, and if they decide to buy, you get paid a percentage of the sale—a source of passive income. Then, as you bring in additional sources of income, you’ll gain more and more personal freedom. Multiple Sources of Income are a way of adding a new dimension of excitement and fun to your everyday life, while you are becoming wealthy. We’re excited to be able to offer you a way to make money—without having to work for it. Go here to get started. To your success, Bob Proctor For more than half a century, Bob Proctor has been the foremost authority in the personal and professional development field. Bob Proctor has dedicated his adult life to helping a world of individuals realize and act on the greatness they already possess within themselves. He’s widely regarded as the grandfather of personal development, and when it comes to mastering the mind – he is simply the best. After meeting Bob Proctor, Sandy Gallagher, an esteemed banking attorney, created Thinking into Results – the most powerful corporate transformational program of its kind. Sandy is now the Co-Founder, President, and CEO of Proctor Gallagher Institute. A genius businesswoman and visioneering expert committed to improving the conscious awareness of the entire world, one individual at a time. The good life's expensive. "There's another way to live that doesn't cost as much, "but it isn't any good." Well, a lot of what he said is true. Many years ago, a man gave me this book, Think and Grow Rich. I was flat broke. I had always been flat broke. I had never had any money. I was 26 years old, I had two months' high school and no business experience. He said, "Bob, you read this, do exactly what I tell you, "you can have anything you want." Now, I really didn't believe that, but I believed he believed it. And I said, all I want is some money. I figured if I had enough money, all my problems would go away. See, I was earning $4,000 a year, but I owed 6,000. If I had paid every cent I owned, or earned, in 18 months, I would have just broken even. So I really didn't think I was going to be able to change that. Do you know that within a year, I was earning 15,000 a month. I went from 4,000 a year, to 15,000 a month, within a year. Now, I hadn't got that much smarter. You don't have to be very smart to earn money, but you do have to understand some basic rules, and that's what I want to talk to you about. https://www.colorcode.io/ How much money can I make as a programmer? A lot, well, depends. So let’s do this, some people are gonna watch this and get excited. Some are gonna be pissed. Some will say this guy’s full of shit. To the rest of you I say, what up? Look. Facts and facts. I don’t make them. I’m just telling you what’s happening. I’m gonna give you some numbers yo. By the all the numbers I’m giving here are US market only. The short answer is entry level developers college degree not required, but with some kind of training, maybe with ColorCode, can start from 40, 50, sometimes 60k. Experienced programmers can go up to 140, 150, 160. Career advancement after is up to you. We live in a capitalistic economy where you can essentially go up as far as you want. People have done it. But those numbers depend on A LOOOOT of things. So let me explain. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. A government agency. The average salary of all workers in the US in 2015 (I know it’s not from this year but it’s the last one they had ok?)... anyway, average of all workers’ income was $36,300. This is for all jobs in the US. You know what it was for Computer Programmers? $79,530. That’s more than double. This is big. https://www.bls.gov/ooh/computer-and-information-technology/mobile/home.htm Job outlook was 17% faster than the average in the US, which means employment is growing fast and there’s gonna be a lotta jobs out there. Even more than today. Fine, those are just numbers and that’s just an average and I don’t care. Or they’re not from this year. Or bla bla bla. Here’s the bottom line. What I’m talking about here is the result of basic economics. Supply and demand. If you have something rare that a lot of people want, the value of that thing is gonna go up. Like gold, or diamonds or whatever. Because more people want it, than the number of that thing available. Why do you get minimum wage if you work at Starbucks? Because almost any adult has the skills necessary to make a cup of coffee. Except me apparently. Those skills are not rare or unique. What you get with software development during our time is you get a very unique skill that very few people have but you also get massive demand, meaning we need a lot of people who can code. And that’s why you can make more money as a programmer. You know I’ve talked a lot about the growth of software and how it’s become a universally acceptable tool to help us do our day to day stuff, from work to entertainment to dating and so on. It’s everywhere. So the demand keeps going up. Which means the demand for engineers goes up and up. Which means those jobs are gonna pay more and pay. It won’t be forever. But it is true for now. Salary average for Junior developer in the US is $59,296 according to glassdoor. https://www.glassdoor.com/Salaries/junior-developer-salary-SRCH_KO0,16.htm I don’t think that’s 100% accurate based on what I’ve seen. But it’s not far from the truth. Unless something crazy unpredictable happens, I can tell you in big cities in the US, if you are really good at something specific, whether it’s JavaScript, mobile development, or even if you JUST wanna do styling with CSS, don’t look at me like that CSS architects, we cherish you, how’s IE10 doing? Hehe I like CSS with only a few years of experience you can make 6 figures, meaning over a 100k. But remember I said ‘really good at something specific’. Oh yeah Sina, of course, if you’re good at anything you can make money. True. But the difference is in how long it takes to get there. Take medical for example. To really specialize and become a super badass doctor you need to invest about a decade of your life, more or less + a pretty sizable amount of college money, debt, and lack of sleep from what I hear. Tremendous respect to my doctor friends, you guys are at a different level. But the reality is you can easily get a job in software development in a matter of months if you work hard and know your shit. Bottom line: If you do your homework and enjoy it, in only a few months you can make enough to support yourself and more. If you continue to grow and learn the latest technologies, and you can deliver quality code and you’re a cool person to work with, you will make more than you need within a few short years. All that, while you got your headphones on and listen to your music. Very few jobs allow us to do that and make this much. From there you can only go up. Not too many glass ceilings in technology, and in the world of programming that might even apply to women. And that’s a very good thing. From NY with love. Peace.

Here's my take on what it takes to really be wealthy. Questions this week: 1. Do rich people have the same kind of problems I do? 2. Don’t material possessions make us happier and healthier? 3. What are the 5 essentials required to be wealthy — with or without money?
