How to write winning headlines - 5 Tips to writing compelling headlines
How to write a winning headline – 5 tips for writing a compelling headline. http://boonkoh.com/read-one-article-killer-headlines-read-one/ Crafting a winning headline Writing compelling headlines will help you get your articles or posts read. In this video we look at 5 ways to craft that winning headline. We will look at some “fill-in-the-blanks” headlines. All you need to do it to choose a particular type of headline, and fill in the contents according to the type of headlines. The first type of headlines would be the numbers headlines. For example, you could write a headline that says “5 super foods to eat if you want to lose that belly fat”. The second type of headline that you can use is called the How-to headline. How-to headline tells the reader that the article that he is about to read will show him a solution to a problem or show him how to do something. This type of headline is the best way to get the attention of someone who is looking for a way to solve a related problem he has on hand. An example of a how-to headline would be “How to double the traffic to your site in 30 days without spending a dime”. The third kind of headline is called the Teaser headline. You tease the reader by telling them a little information in the headline that is both controversial or missing some detail and the only way to find out what it is about is by reading the article. The idea is you reveal just enough information in the headline to get their curiosity An example of a teaser headline would be “The kind of hairstyle that men finds most sexy”. The fourth type of headline is what I called the Problems or Benefits headline. You tell the reader r a result that they can achieve or a problem that they have in the headline. You can incorporate some of the benefits in the headline. “How Instant Diet System can help you lose five pounds in two weeks” is an example of a benefits headline. The fifth type of headline is called the Questions headlines. In this type of headline, you ask a question in which the answer is yes most of the time. By asking a “yes” question, you get the reader to relate to the topic sub-consciously. For example, you can ask a question “Are you looking for a way to approach that beautiful girl that you’ve been eyeing?” Now that you know the 5 types of killer headlines, you can improve the impact further by writing a headline that is a combination of different types of headline that I have mentioned. Subscribe to my channel to get more tips, strategies and techniques on Internet Marketing. Editing with Adobe Premiere Pro. // Headlines. So important in content marketing. And yet, so many people don't spend any longer than a couple miliseconds on deciding what to write in the field. Silly mistake. Tune in for Sexy Wednesday to upgrade your your titles so not only is it sharable, but worth clicking on in the first place. Awhile back -- early on in Savvy Sexy Social's time when I actually wrote article as well as made videos -- I wrote a post about why your headlines are terrible and how you can make them better. More specifically how you can "unsuck" them. I want to continue that cause today and touch on one of the items I mentioned which is when creators have packed a piece of content with so much information that they feel the need to mention each of those things in the headline. A + B+ C + D = PLEASE CLICK!! I admire your passion for providing a great deal of content and I'm sure your audience would be pleased if they clicked to see what's in store, but the problem is they won't. They won't because they are completely and utterly distracted by the Internet and all its shiny objects and therefore your incomplete sentence of multiple items is going to be bypassed and ignored. Another way of doing this is something I see frequently on YouTube which is to add the name of the segment to the headline. Like if I added 'Sexy Wednesday' to the headline to remind you of the theme of the video and why its happening in the first place. The thing is, that's totally unnecessary. You can put that information ANYWHERE else. Including in the content. Around the content. At the beginning of the content. Maybe even at the end. But in the headline, you're taking up SO much space and characters that it's keeping people from seeing the true value that you're providing. Again. PEOPLE ARE A.D.D.! Give someone a great reason to click and read more. There needs to be a significant call-to-action. What's been your best performing headline? Why your headlines suck and how you can unsuck them http://savvysexysocial.com/2011/06/27/why-your-headlines-suck-and-how-you-can-unsuck-them/
