Arizona Prospecting 2018 - Cold and Gold

26:29
In March 2018, I met up friends Jim 'Jimbo' Hamilton and Kurt Johnson and spent 3 Days and 4 nights camping and gold prospecting in the Arizona Mountains. We had a lot of fun and found some nice pickers and small nuggets. Got down to high 20's at night...COLD ! This trip was mostly concentrating on newly built equipment. We find a few pickers, but not a lot of gold.

GOLD MAPS Gold Maps Online -- The Best Gold Maps! Are you looking for legal places that you can go and prospect for gold. One of the last things you want to run into deep in the desert or deep in the woods is some angry prospector who claims you have mistakenly wondered on to his claim. Those guys tend to have shot guns and know how to use them! We're going to show you a product from Gold Maps Online that integrates with Google earth. If your new to prospecting or even a seasoned prospector you may not know that with Google Earth you can go and check out an area that you want to prospect and really get up close to the terrain, the rivers or washes before you even leave your home. You may have found a place you want to prospect but now you need to know if you're legally allowed to. When you purchase a Map from Gold Maps Online what you get is a current map of claims that have been filed. You are going to then be able to see on Google earth the following Active Load Claims Active Placer Claims Inactive Load Claims Inactive Placer Claims Areas that have No Claims Filed On them. Currently I am not a member of any of the groups that have claims that you can go prospect, so I have to look for areas next to claims and these maps have become an invaluable tool for doing just that. You can load maps on your laptop or touch pad and take them with you. I have a laptop that has a GPS I can hook up to it so it makes this even better for me. I can throw my laptop in my backpack or pack it on the quad and when I find an area I want to check out I can see if there are any claims on it or not and if not off I go. Gold Maps Online has an extensive list of states they carry and at a price of $20 bucks it's been a fantastic tool that's been added to my prospecting tool set. Gold prospecting in Arizona Desert ..still lots left

02:26
Good gold in the Arizona desert .. Love prospecting for gold out here with the keen 140 Prospecting for placer gold is normally done with a gold pan or similar instrument to wash free gold particles from loose surface sediment.[1] The use of gold pans is centuries old, but is still common among prospectors and miners with little financial backing. Deeper placer deposits may be sampled by trenching or drilling.[2] Geophysical methods such as seismic, gravity or magnetics may be used to locate buried river channels that are likely locations for placer gold.[3] Sampling and assaying a placer gold deposit to determine its economic viability is subject to many pitfalls.[4] Once placer gold is discovered, the gold pan is usually replaced by sluices or mechanical devices to wash greater volumes of material. Discovery of placer gold has often resulted in discovery of hardrock gold deposits when the placers are traced to their source Prospectors for hardrock, or lode gold deposits, can use many tools. It is done at the simplest level by surface examination of rock outcrops, looking for exposures of mineral veins, hydrothermal alteration, or rock types known to host gold deposits. Field tools may be nothing more than a rock hammer and hand lens. Hardrock gold deposits are more varied in mineralogy and geology than placer deposits, and prospecting methods can be very different for different types of deposits. As with placer gold, the sophistication of methods used to prospect for hardrock gold vary with the financial resources of the prospector. Drilling is often used to explore the subsurface. Surface geophysical methods may be used to locate geophysical anomalies associated with gold deposits. Samples of rocks or soil may be collected for geochemical laboratory assay, to determine metal content or detect geochemical anomalies.[5] Hardrock gold particles may be too small to see, even with a microscope. Most gold today is produced in large open-pit and deep underground mines. However, small-scale gold mining is still common, especially in third-world countries. A recent study by Australian scientists found that termites have been found to excrete trace deposits of gold. According to the CSIRO, the termites burrow beneath eroded subterranean material which typically masks human attempts to find gold, and ingest and bring the new deposits to the surface. They believe that studying termite nests may lead to less invasive methods of finding gold deposits.[6] where to find gold, how to find gold, minerals, mineral identification, gold mine, gold, the mine, mining gold, how do i find gold, rocks and minerals gold bug 2 mine lab garret how to pan for gold gold bug 2 arizona gold prospecting little san domingo wash linx lake Arizona desert Gold mining in Alaska Gold in California Gold nugget Gold panning Gold Prospectors Association of America Gold rush Hushing Mineral exploration Placer mining Recreational gold mining little san domingo wash lynx lake GPAA

United States Gold Mining Claim - Arizona - 2017

03:49
The United States mine is located just outside of Cottonwood, Arizona, in the North Verde Mining District. The mine was worked as an open pit, therfore there are no underground workings. The mine has an extensive history of production and a massive amount of work was done at the site. Historically, the United States mine was worked for gold, copper, and silver, and the entire area is littered with copper ore. The ores are rich and in good supply, but will need to be processed in bulk to be profitable.
ABANDONED GOLD MINES ~ near KINGMAN ARIZONA

04:19
1.23.2013. I decided to walk out to some mountains today and found several old abandoned gold mines from the past. I didn't see any official claim markers or indications that the area was other than BLM (Bureau of Land Management). An old post at one gold mine had written on it, 'Gold Lake Discovery 1/1/13', which I'm not certain whether someone wrote that just a few weeks ago on New Year's Day, or that it indicates an initial discovery in 1913. This is high definition [HD] video footage for Youtube. Peace, Mark Allen Channel (4GUESTS.COM)
Desert Gold Mines: Exploring the Ten-Mile Tunnel

05:27
The Ten-Mile Tunnel is an abandoned Arizona gold mine dating back to the late 1800s. Deep in the mine, I found an inclined shaft going both downward and upward. Later research on this particular mine revealed that this inclined shaft is approximately 1100 feet long. That warrants a return visit with more people so we can descend the inclined shaft to the lower levels and see what's down there. We've only just cracked the surface on this particular mine! Stay tuned!

Arizona Gold Mine - Gold prospecting in California and Arizona. http://www.california-gold-rush-miner.us/california-gold-rush-miner/ This old abandoned gold mine was just outside of Yuma Arizona not far from the Colorado River. It's obvious that the old-timers were following a quartz vein that was carrying the gold. Dry washing the mine tailings show that this was a very rich mine. Even dry washing in the general area produced some very fine gold dust. From poison gas, unseen drop offs, wild animals and rattlesnakes, I would never advise anyone to go into one of these old abandoned gold mines To see additional photos and or to get more information be sure to visit our very popular California gold nugget site. Jasper Gold Mining Claim - Arizona - 2017

03:31
The Jasper Mine, located outside of Bouse, Arizona, consists of multiple mine openings scattered across the claim. The historic name of this mine is actually the Bouse Jasper Hematite. Jasper and Hematite pieces are found today in high-end collections and used as jewelry. The claim has Jasper and Hematite samples in abundance, in addition, some of the samples are shot with blue streaks of azurite and possible turquoise. Some samples can be found with galena silver streaks and azurite as well as the deep red from the jasper and the black of the hematite.

Dry Washing For Gold: Arizona Gold Prospecting

Dry washing for gold? While prospecting the desert of Arizona for gold, I met a couple of cool dudes from back East and they were dry washing for gold. Thanks Greg and Jeff for your hospitality. I hope you made it to that mine with the cool, clear water. I did and it was glorious!

Three Gold Mining Secrets on Apache Trail, Goldfield Ghost Town AZ, The Mystery House

07:28
This video is about Three Gold Mining Secrets on Apache Trail, Goldfield Ghost Town AZ, The Mystery House The drive from Apache Junction AZ offers magnificent vistas of the Superstition Mountains, Salt River Canyon and Canyon Lake. The waters of scenic Canyon Lake wash against a gentle swimming beach at Acacia. Acacia is adjacent to Palo Verde Boating Site. Unique Sonoran Desert vegetation surround Acacia. The waters of this scenic lake wash against multi-hued cliffs. Acacia is an escape from the heat of the Valley. Nearby is Goldfield Ghost Town, formed in 1893, as gateway to the legendary Superstition Mountains. Shops and historic buildings are near the entrance of Mammoth Gold Mine and Goldfield Museum. Panning for gold going on Arizona’s only narrow gauge train are available for visitors who can witness an old west gun fight performed by famous Goldfield Gunfighters. Back in the 1890′s Goldfield boasted three saloons, a boarding house, general store, blacksmith shop, brewery, meat market and a school house. Just when it looked like the town would outgrow Mesa, the vein faulted, the grade of ore dropped and the town died a slow painful death. Geology experts say time created the shallow caves sheltering their cliff dwellings and the productive river basin for their farming needs. Tonto Basin is a deep sedimentary basin filled with debris eroded and carried from the adjacent mountain ranges. Layers were formed as the land was repeatedly covered with water. Debris washed from the mountains was layered among the sediments. Mud cracks formed when sediments dried out during low tide, creating patterns on rocks. Some rocks display ripples of cross bedding, also formed in shallow water. Mountains of today were formed through cycles of layer deposits, block uplifts and erosion. As the final uplift began, the Salt River began downcutting, carrying debris to the surrounding lowlands. The coarsest materials were dropped close to the mountains, while finer sediments were carried out into the center of the basin. Rick Allen wrote a book in 2009, The Disoriented Dutchman's Gold Mine. Parker: Outskirts Press, Paperback, 225 pages. "Joe Waltz is the great-grandson of the famous Lost Dutchman, Jacob Waltz. The location of the gold mine was lost with the death of Joe's grandmother, or so he thought. His parents have been loose-lipped about their heritage, a mistake that forces them into hiding, and now places their lives in jeopardy because of an eavesdropping con man, bent on obtaining the treasure at any cost. Joe's ex-girlfriend, now privy to his true identity, also joins in the search, and has enlisted the help of her bumbling brother and friend in her plot. With clues left by his late grandmother Now surfacing, Joe's life and the famous Lost Dutchman's gold are in growing peril.” $12.95. Natural processes formed the caves, probably starting between 50,000 and 400,000 years ago. Rock alcoves that house the cliff dwellings are located in a layer consisting primarily of siltstone. Great Bear Gold Mining Claims - Arizona - 2017

11:26
The Great bear mine is a large and historic gold mining operation, just outside of Quartzsite, Arizona. A series of portals are opened up along a wide quartz body that is heavily concentrated with oxidized iron. Perfect breeding ground for gold. Many of the mine openings connect via trenches. The veins in the mine range from 3 feet to 9 feet as documented by local geologists and the USGS. Old reports note 3 veins that are large and gold bearing. Only the center vein has been worked in earnest. When the mine was shut down by the War Act there was over 30,000 tons of ore (reserves) on the center vein with an average return of 3 OPT in gold. Do your math on that.

Texas Queen Gold Mining Claim - Arizona - 2017

02:51
The Texas Queen Mine, located in the Vulture Mining district, just outside of Wickenburg, Arizona, is reported to be a fluorine/fluorite mine. Upon inspection, our surveyors disputed this fact, siting that the waste dumps and general trends of the area had no indications of fluorite. There was much oxidized iron in the waste dumps and there were two main shafts instead of only one shaft, as historically reported.
