FREE COURSE To Start Your Online Business: http://projectlifemastery.com/freecourse/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=free-course&utm_term=investing-for-beginners&utm_content=youtube-description In this video, Stefan talks about investing for beginners, and gives advice on how to get started. In particular, he highlights five investment success principles. When Stefan was 18 years old, he read a finance book called, "The Wealthy Barber”, by David Chilton. After reading this book, he realized that the most important thing that he could do was to start investing as soon as possible. The earlier you start investing, the sooner you can make mistakes and learn from them, and you have a higher risk tolerance. Stefan started from nothing, and has been able to build himself up to a millionaire, at 30 years old. Are you ready to invest in your future? What would make a stock appealing for you to invest in?

08:51
What would make a stock appealing for you to invest in? PLEASE LIKE AND SHARE THIS VIDEO SO WE CAN DO MORE! Pete, also known as WheelieDealer, a long-term trader and investor comments. The big one is certainly growth and evaluation - I'm looking for stocks with a great track record. When I see companies with steady rising revenues, profits and dividends I simply love to see that steady progression - for me that's the holy grail. Some companies in some situations just look stupidly undervalued. But obviously you need to be wary of value traps - the best companies to invest in tend to be those that have experienced some kind of problem in the past but are on the recovery stage. Also, if a company is paying regular dividends, it shows that they're probably not manipulating their accounting profits all that much; they are actually producing cash which they can payout. Of course you need to be wary that they are not adding to their debt...

What to do if the Stock Market Crashes - Without Losing Money! *According to Statistics*

10:54
One of the things I haven’t really covered yet in my videos is the risks of investing and how to recover from a market crash, especially now with stocks at their all time highs. But is it possible to time the market? And what’s the best time to invest? Well, according to statistics, doing THIS is what generates the highest profits. Thanks for watching! Feel free to add me on Snapchat/Instagram: GPStephan Here’s the stock market timing game! https://qz.com/487013/this-game-will-show-you-just-how-foolish-it-is-to-sell-stocks-right-now/ If you expose your money to any type of market, you expose your money to risk - it’s unavoidable. But markets are cyclical and there will be a time when the markets go down and you see some losses.. It’s totally normal. That lends the question - since the markets continuously hit all time highs, is it a good time to sell and then wait for a crash? Statistically, it’s shown that market timing rarely ever works - it’s impossible to know exactly when the market will crash and when to buy back in. Hypothetically if this is possible and you can do it consistently, great - but the chances of doing this consistently and accurately rarely ever happens, and it’s shown that time in the market yields higher average returns than timing the market. Studies by Brad Barber and Terrance Odean find that individual investors experience reduced returns with their stock trading accounts, with increased active trading a key reason in lowering returns. Examining 66,465 US household trading accounts over the 1991 – 1996 period, Barber and Odean find that the average household account earned an annual return of 16.4% over the period, compared to the 17.9% market return. Those households which traded most earned an annual return of 11.4%. http://faculty.haas.berkeley.edu/odean/papers%20current%20versions/behavior%20of%20individual%20investors.pdf They’ve also determined less than 1% of households were able to reliably predict market cycles between 1992-2006. I’m personally against market timing because no one truly knows when the next crash could be. If you pull out now, you could miss a few more years of gains. If you sell now and it crashes, how do you know when the bottom hits and when to buy back in? There have been numerous studies that show that the more you tinker with your investments, the higher the probability of achieving lower returns than if you had just stuck it out and held on to your investment. Now speaking of risk and all-time highs in the market, what about a large upfront lump sum investment NOW, or slowly putting it in the market over time? Or waiting until the market is down, and then investing a lump sum? Charles Shchwab ran the numbers from 1993-2012 for each investment strategy. If you start with $2000 per year available at the beginning of each year, and bought at the YTD low every year, this resulted in $87,004. If you just invest immediately as soon as you have it, you’d have $81,650. If you invested $2000 equally every month over the course of the year, you’d have $79,510 If you had bad timing and bought at the YTD high, you’d have $72,487. And if you had cash investments, you’d be left with $51,291. http://www.schwab.com/public/schwab/nn/articles/Does-Market-Timing-Work The study concludes that the most reliable investment method has always been to buy immediately, and hold. Do not try to time the markets. So how do you deal with risks and the possibility of losing money? First, don’t invest money you will for sure need in the next 2-5 years. For all other investments, have a long term outlook - don’t be too short sighted to panic sell or try to time the market as soon as it’s down. Don’t overload your screen with indicators and display the indicators that you actually use on your charts a lot of traders overload their charts with indicators as excuse to over trade.Remember indicators are just an indication of something happening in the market they are crystal ball trying to predict the future. Don’t blame the indicators where traders and workout no matter what indicators you use your still have to take losses in trading. Two types of indicators. There are two types of markets trending and range bound or cyber to markets. A trending market looks like this but the market is moving in one direction arrange panel Cyprus market looks like this were the market is moving up and down within a specific range indicators tend to be either suited trending or range assignment markets. Indicator one RSI. The relative strength index compares the magnitude of recent gains to recent losses in the attempt to determine overbought and oversold conditions of instrument as you can see from the chart the RSI ranges from 0 to 100. Insurance is deemed to be overbought once the RSI approaches the 70 level mean that it maybe getting overvalued and is a good candidate for pullback likewise if the RSI approaches 30, then the instrument is oversold and therefore like to reverse. Traders will often use the RSI coming back out of overbought or oversold conditions as a signal to enter the market. A trade using RSI should be whether large rallies and drops in price will affect the RSI by potentially creating false buy or sell signals traders often come by the RSI such as the MACD. Indicator two MACD. Moving average convergence divergences is one of the most well-known unused indicates in technical analysis this indicator is made of two exponential moving averages which help measure momentum henchmen. These moving averages and the changing distances between them become the MACD. Convergence means the moving averages moving closer together, divergence means they’re moving away from one another. Indicator three Bollinger bands. A Bollinger band starts off as a simple moving average and has two standard deviations plotted away from it that sounds a mouthful but the important part is because standard deviation is a measure of volatility Bollinger bands adjust themselves to current market conditions. When markets become more volatile markets widen and move further away. Enjoying less volatile periods the band’s contract moving closer together. WHY DOES A STOCK PRICE DROP AFTER EARNINGS BEAT

08:24
Why does a stock price drop after earnings beat. Stock beats on earnings, but it crashes!? How is this possible? This is a question asked by almost everyone who invests in the stock market at some point in their career. I see comments like "My stock beat earnings - they posted better EPS than analysts expected, and better revenue but it still dropped!!!". Today we will go over some other metrics that affect the stock price after an earnings report. So first let's define 2 of the metrics that are used to determine if a company had a good quarter or not: EPS and Revenue. Revenue is the total amount of money the company collected during the quarter - not just profits, but all the money they collected. So if this company sells TV's for $1000 each. Their profit margin on that might be 50% - so $500. So when they sell 1 of these TV's, we take the revenue as $1000 - not $500, as that was what the total amount of money they collected was from that sale. The next metric is EPS - earnings per share, is their measurement of profit compared to how much outstanding stock is available for purchase in the company. So when a company has a positive EPS, that means they turned a profit that quarter, and when they have a negative EPS, it mean's they are still unprofitable. Let's look at an example - say you bought a 100 shares of company XYZ, you did your research on the company, and based on that, you think they will beat their earnings estimates set by Analysts. Great. Earnings day comes around and after hours they report their earnings. They beat on EPS, they beat on revenue. But the stock price drops 10%. What? How?! Well, there's a third metric that investors look at - Guidance. Guidance is the pretty much what the company predicts to do in the upcoming quarter - how much revenue they plan to bring in, profits, etc. Analysts also set expectations for guidance, so investors look to see if the company has weak guidance (lower than analysts expectations), in-line guidance (same as analysts), or strong guidance (better than analysts expectations). A lot of this THIS is the driving factor, and will cause a stock to go up or drop huge. If it's a stellar earnings and the company beats on EPS and Revenue, that might be enough to move the stock significantly but guidance is always the 3rd metric looked at because it gives investors an idea how if the company plans to continue growing next quarter or not. Guidance is typically not as easy to find as EPS and Revenue, and sometimes you have to dig deeper to investors relations pages to figure out what their guidance for the upcoming quarter or year is. Now a fourth metric I want to touch on, which doesn't affect every stock out there, is # of users. So for companies like Netflix - investors are more focused on subscriber growth - how many new subs did they gain in the last quarter? How many in the US vs Worldwide? These metrics are what drive stocks like Netflix, because that shows how many people are joining the service, and in the long run, will turn tons of profit for the company. Another company is Snapchat - Daily Active Users or DAU, or Monthly Active Users MAU are the driving metric here, because it shows you how many people are using the platform every day or month, and as long as this keeps growing quarter over quarter, it's good news for investors in that stock. Now depending on the company and industry, there are other things people look at, but for the most part, these are the main things. Sometimes a stock will beat on ALL metrics, but it will still drop - and that could be because of profit taking - maybe it had a big run up to earnings in anticipation of a beat, and investors want to sell some shares after earnings to lock in profits. Sometimes a company will announce share buyback, and this means they are buying back some of the outstanding shares in the market - and this in turn will increase their EPS and could cause it to rally. Sometimes it will beat on all metrics and drop, and that could be maybe because the CEO is leaving and he was one of the founders of the company that drove the growth. There are SO many little factors that can affect a stock around earnings, and I personally do not trade earnings anymore. I've been burned many times (but also profited many times) from earnings, but the amount of risk you take on, especially if you trade options around earnings, is too high for me to be comfortable with it, and for most newer investors to be comfortable with. If you play earnings in a company, just be prepared to be down big on your position after they release their ER. How Does Trading Volume Impact a Company’s Stock?

03:43
https://youtu.be/BuhCUKL-9Uw http://profitabletradingtips.com/profitable-trading-tips/how-does-trading-volume-impact-a-companys-stock How Does Trading Volume Impact a Company’s Stock? By www.ProfitableTradingTips.com A recent headline in The Wall Street Journal says that U.S. Stocks Slip on Light Volume. Just how does trading volume impact a company’s stock and how does trading volume affect stock trading. Is it different for swing trading than for day trading? First, here is what the Journal says. U.S. stocks slipped in light trading Monday, with the fewest shares changing hands in nearly two months. A lack of enthusiasm for stocks has plagued the market recently. After a sharp drop and bounceback in the first three months of the year, stocks have plodded along with little fanfare. The slowness in trading “can be frustrating,” said Justin Wiggs, managing director in equity trading at Stifel Nicolaus, adding that in such times it’s hard to find money managers to take different sides of a trade. When trading volume is low it is not just that there are no buyers. There are no sellers either. There are times when the market is not going up or down but is still volatile. This is not the case in a stock world of low volume. How does low trading volume impact a company’s stock? Low Volume Risks There are risks when a stock trades a low volume. Investopedia writes about risks of trading low volume stocks. One risk of low-volume stocks is that they lack liquidity, an important criteria in stock trading. Liquidity is the ability to be easily bought or sold in the market without a change in price. This means that a stock which is trading at $25 per share should be easily bought or sold in large amounts (say 100,000 shares) while still maintaining the price of $25 per share. For stocks, a good measure of liquidity is the average daily trading volume. In general, any stock that trades at fewer than 10,000 shares a day is considered a low-volume stock. Low-volume stocks are harder to buy or sell quickly and at the market price. Factors related to low trading volume include difficulty in determining a fair stock price, potential for price manipulation and possibility that the company picture is deteriorating. Day Trading Low Volume Stocks Online Trading Concepts discusses the price volume trend as a cue in technical analysis of stocks. Price Volume Trend combines percentage price change and volume in an attempt to confirm the strength of price trends or through divergences, warn of weak price moves. Unlike other price-volume indicators, the Price Volume Trend takes into consideration the percentage increase or decrease in price, rather than just simply adding or subtracting volume based on whether the current price is higher than the previous day's price. This approach helps highlight divergences and predicting trends. But when trading volume is too low technical stock analysis becomes progressively less accurate. Also it can become increasingly likely to get trapped on the wrong side of a trade in the thinly traded stock if genuine news hits the market and drives the stock steadily in one direction. In that case the only choice is to take substantial losses.

How Does Trading Volume Impact a Company’s Stock?

03:44
https://youtu.be/Nm5PFuEuc_U http://profitabletradingtips.com/profitable-trading-tips/how-does-trading-volume-impact-a-companys-stock How Does Trading Volume Impact a Company’s Stock? MY TOP 10 DIVIDEND GROWTH STOCKS OF ALL TIME (my stock pick list)

34:45
I want to share my top 10 favorite dividend growth stock picks of all time. Today's video goes through all 10 from a dividend investing standpoint and also covers some close calls too (those that were close but did not quite make it). This is super important for me because 2019 will be all about building my core. While my top 10 favorite stocks (out of my total portfolio of 38 dividend stocks) now weigh about 40% in terms of dollar value, I want that weighting to get closer to 50% or even 60%. As I go through my top 10 list, you will quickly see that it's all about diversification for me. Each company is different from the others. After all, my core needs to be able to weather any storm. #1 Stock Pick: Johnson & Johnson (JNJ) * Big diversified health care company * Doesn't get more interesting than that (at least for this dividend investor) * 2.47% starting yield (not a very high starting yield) * Not too excited to buy here, waiting for a buying opportunity * Current valuation has nothing to do with my favorites * 36% divided growth over the last 5 years #2 Dividend Stock Pick: PepsiCo (PEP) * Very different than JNJ - top 10 is all about diversification * 3.2% starting dividend yield * 63% dividend growth rate last 5 years (wow!) * Feel good about buying more PEP right now * I'll probably start averaging in on a monthly basis #3 Favorite Stock: McDonald's (MCD) * Real estate and restaurant company * 2.5% starting yield * 55% 5 year dividend growth (awesome!) * Priced to perfection right now #4 Top Stock Pick: United Technologies (UTX) * Otis elevators, Aerospace, HVAC * 2.24% starting yield * 37% 5 year dividend growth rate * I'm buying monthly now * Not a compelling value, but just too small in my portfolio (bringing it to size) #5: Clorox (CLX) * Bleach, cleaning, charcoal, Glad bags, vitamins, Burt's Bees * 2.43% starting dividend yield * 35% dividend growth rate over the last 5 years #6: Duke Energy (DUK) * 4.4% starting yield * 19% 5 year div growth rate * Rising interest rate risk * Love representation of all these sectors * Have been in it a long time Dividend Stock #7: Realty Income (O) * Monthly dividend company * Sometimes you really have to wait for a sale * 4.24% starting dividend yield right now * 21% 5 year div growth rate * Pure play real estate company Top Dividend Stock Pick #8: Procter & Gamble (PG) * I've been talking about them forever here on my YouTube Channel * 3.14% starting yield * 19% 5 year dividend growth rate * Strategic priority for 2018 was actually buying more PG * (Not buying more here after run-up) Favorite Dividend Stock #9: Coca-Cola (KO) * For a while, they were out of my good graces * Back in my good graces * Do I really need another beverage company in top 10? * 3.16% dividend yield * 39% 5 year dividend growth #10 Surprise Stock: 3M (MMM) * 2.67% starting yield * 114% 5 year div growth rate * 2nd best buying opportunity behind PEP (right now) NEWS ALERT: I'm going to share my entire stock portfolio at 25,000 subscribers. 6 PROVEN Ways to Build Wealth Outside Stock Market (make money no stocks)

21:34
So if you are watching my channel, most likely you have some interest in building wealth. You want to become wealthy. One of the most common ways you hear for building and growing wealth is the stock market. A lot of people are nervous about the stock market right now. We are at near record highs and a lot of people are predicting that another economic collapse is just around the corner. We also have another housing bubble that could pop at any time. It can be hard to pick the right stocks. It is reported that the average lifespan of a stock is 7 years. If it is here today, it could be gone within 7 years. It is also reported that the top 4% of all companies account for all of the wealth creation in the market. If you want to make money in the market you have a 4% chance of picking a stock that will make you money. So if you want to grow your money and you want to avoid the stock market, how can you do it? 🤔 Today we are going to talk about 6 ways you can build your wealth outside of the stock market. ➡️ 1. Investing in Real Estate [2:32] - 🏠 I am not going to make the claim that I am a real estate investor. How do you invest in real estate if you’ve never done it before? Connect with a few really good realtors. ▶︎▶︎ Open a Fundrise account with as little as $500: https://www.goodfinancialcents.com/resources/fundrise-review.php ➡️ 2. Invest in a Franchise [5:52] - 🏪 You can make a 10-15% return on your money by becoming a franchisee. This option is not for everyone as some companies can have really strict requirements. ➡️ 3. Life Insurance [8:43] - This is not my favorite option, however, if you have maxed out your 401K, your IRA, and other tax options out there, then you can look at policies. (Hint: big names can have hidden fees). ➡️ 4. Starting an Online Business [11:12] - 💻 There are so many options here. You could sell digital products, create a membership community, open an eCommerce store, or become an affiliate marketer. ➡️ 5. Building and Selling a Business [15:58] - This one will take a little time and some work. You have to take the time to build the business. ➡️ 6. Pay off Your Debt [18:17] - 💰 Become debt free. Assets minus liabilities = net worth. As you pay off your debt your net worth will increase. The biggest takeaway I want you to get from this video is that there are so many different options for building and growing your wealth. Any of these could work for you. Which one are you going to spend your time and money on? 🤔 The bigger your investment of time and money, the better your chances of building wealth. Which wealth building strategy are you excited about? Which one do you plan on implementing or have already implemented? How to Invest in Stocks?

14:32
To invest in stocks is not an easy job. Instead of trading, investing needs to know about the company itself and other things related to the company survival. An investor should know the fundamentals of the company, he wants to invest in. He should know its balance sheet information. An addition he should know about its cash flow and its debt. Moreover, competition, an investor should know if his company can compete for the long run. If a company is losing money and has a lot of debt, it will never survive through time. we did see thousands of companies went bankrupt, because they cant compete either in products quality or technology or price. An investor should know the types of companies and whether it gives dividend or not. Kevin O'Leary: What To Do When The Stock Market Crashes

01:17
Shark Tank's Kevin O'Leary shares tips on how investors can build a portfolio of stocks, bonds and cash in order to weather increasing volatility in the stock market. » Subscribe to CNBC Make It.: http://cnb.cx/2kxl2rf On Friday the Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped more than 500 points before recovering most of the decline. While such market volatility may be scary for new investors, you can't let it get to you, financial expert and "Shark Tank" star Kevin O'Leary tells CNBC Make It. "Never cry when the market goes down, because it's not crying for you," he says. "You should never get emotional about the stock market." Here are O'Leary's top tips to survive the market's ups and downs. 1. Don't panic "The truth about markets is that they never go straight up," O'Leary tells CNBC Make It. For the last few years, the market has been less volatile, he says, so young people "are not used to major corrections, and so now we're starting to get them," he says. "These are normal phenomena." You have to think long term. "You'll see the markets go up and down," says O'Leary, "but over a long period of time — and this has been consistent since the beginning of stocks in America — they grow over time because the companies and the economy grows over time." The S&P 500 index, for example, has earned an annual average return of 9.8 percent over the past 90 years. "You want a piece of that for your future." 2. Buy for value If you "buy companies that are profitable and that have good balance sheets that pay dividends," says O'Leary, "you can sustain yourself through these massive corrections." You can still do this, he says, "even if you only have $50 to invest or $100." O'Leary, who owns O'Shares ETFs, recommends exchange traded funds because they are inexpensive and tax efficient. These ETFs are buckets of securities that track an index. Similarly, other experts, including O'Leary's fellow Shark Mark Cuban and investor Warren Buffett, recommend index funds, which you can think of as low-risk, low-cost baskets of stocks. You may also consider using an app that allows you to buy fractional shares, says O'Leary. His app, Beanstox, and others like Stockpile do this. 3. Diversify "You shouldn't have all of your money invested in stocks — that's too risky," says O'Leary. "You also need some fixed-income like bonds." And "keep some cash around," he says. "You feel much better if you have cash, even though your portfolio may be [temporarily] down 20 percent." "Diversification is the only free lunch," adds O'Leary. How Do I Start Investing? How Do I Buy a Stock? | Ask A Fool

02:41
In this edition of "Ask a Fool," analyst Austin Smith answers the question "Where do I start? How do I choose and purchase a stock?" He defers to the proven Peter Lynch model of buying what you know, which means investing in companies that you personally understand and that have relatively transparent business models. For beginning investors, some popular stocks with easy-to-comprehend business drivers include McDonald's (NYSE: MCD), Starbucks (Nasdaq: SBUX), and Coca-Cola (NYSE: KO). Once you've identified a stock you're committed to, the next step is to open a brokerage account. Austin provides some popular companies as examples. You'll need your stock's ticker symbol, which can be found easily with a Google search, or by typing the company name into the search box at http://www.fool.com. Decide on the number of shares you'd like to buy, and then simply call your broker or use their online interface to place a trade. Investing in CANNABIS/POT Stocks!? 🌿🔥

Investing in marijuana stocks. http://www.financial-spread-betting.com/strategies/strategies-tips.html PLEASE LIKE AND SHARE THIS VIDEO SO WE CAN DO MORE! Cannabis is the mania of the moment. Weed stocks have gone absolutely ballistic. Legislation is changing all the time and USA states are starting to legalise marijuana for medical uses. A lot of cannabis stocks started out over-the-counter as it was still illegal on a federal level and there was a lot of uncertainty. As marijuana stocks start to prove themselves things will evolve. But you need to be very careful in this sector! I think at the moment is it about how much money the leaders can raise and acculatate to help them grow in future. I'm going to discuss some companies that are listed on exchanges and involved with the cannabis industry. Be warned, some of these stocks already have stellar valuations and are risky. There are also plenty of shady companies in this sector with some having committed fraud in the past. Investing in Marijuana/Cannabis Stocks/Pot Stocks Plant Growers - doing the cultivating and growing Tilray Inc - NASDAQ: TLRY Canopy Growth (CGT) market cap is already very high - 6.29 Billion Aurora Cannabis (ACB) - Cronos Group (CRON) Terra Tech Corp (TRTC) Pharmaceutical industry that creates drugs utilising some of the active ingredients of cannabis to help people AbbVie (ABBV) GW Pharmaceutical (GWPH) Cara Therapeutic (CARA)
