China Resources Holdings Writes Down 20 Billion Yuan

Follow us on TWITTER: http://twitter.com/cnforbiddennews Like us on FACEBOOK: http://www.facebook.com/chinaforbiddennews After Song Lin, Chairman of state-owned enterprise 'China Resources Holdings', was sacked, the listed unit 'China Resources Power' has plummeted in value. Hong Kong media reported that for years, Song Lin frequently held lavish events for the CCP Liaison Office in Hong Kong. The ballroom at the CR headquarters became a private hideout for the Liaison Office. Meanwhile, Citi Research estimates that China Resources Power may write down 20 billion yuan (US$3.2 billion) in poor-quality coal mine investments. On Tuesday, China Resources Power (CR Power) fell 12% to HK$18.50 on the stock exchange opening day after the Easter holiday break. CR Power evaporated as much as HK$12.3 billion of market value. The slump in shares since Tuesday for the group companies has accumulated a total loss of HK$29 billion. Bloomberg reported that they "estimate China Resources Power has 20 billion yuan of coal mine investments. We estimate half of the coal mine investments are the poor-quality coal mines including 5 billion to 6 billion yuan in Shanxi and 4 billion to 5 billion yuan in Inner Mongolia", Citi said. In July last year, reporters Wang Wenzhi and Li Jianjun accused CR Power of deliberately overpaying for three coal mines under the Jinye Group in Shanxi. A group of small shareholders of CR Power brought a civil action against Song Li at the High Court of Hong Kong. Liu Jipeng, Panelist of the Securities Act Provision, said that the Jinye Group spent 60 million yuan to acquire the three coal mines. During application to be listed, the total assets of 1 billion yuan did not pass the assessment. In the process of selling to Batong Coal Mine, the assessment of 5.2 billion yuan also failed. However, they were sold to CR Power for 12.3 billion yuan. Hong Kong's Apple Daily revealed that Song Lin used to hold luxurious banquets at the CR headquarters. This was for the business and political elite in HK. At the banquet were top French wines costing 80,000 yuan to 120,000 yuan a bottle, at an estimated cost of at least 600,000 yuan per meal. This special dining hall was designated as a private hideout for the HK Liaison Office, and the expense were paid by CR group. This year alone, Liaison Office leaders have twice held private parties in this ballroom. Former and current Liaison Directors, Peng Qinghua and Zhang Xiaoming were witnessed appearing on the top floor of the ballroom venue. There have been allegations that in the CR headquarters, there are at least three secret wine cellars. The cellars are reputed to have large collections of valuable red wines and Maotai, worth of more than tens of millions of yuan. Sources also said that when Song Lin was arrested on Thursday, wine and brandy kept in Song's office were immediately moved to these cellars to evade investigation. Fan Yiping, activist and former Guangdong Food Supply manager notes that the CR groups are the property of the CCP. CR groups and the Liaison Office are one family. Fan Yiping: "CR itself is a piece of the red empire. The Liaison is also part of that family. What they have spent is at the cost of the people. They have misappropriated the national funds and resources through monopolies and plundering. The CR groups is an enterprise in foreign trade, monopolized by the Ministry of Commerce." CR groups is like other organizations within the Chinese Communist regime, such as Xinhua News Agency, Bank of China, or China Travel. They are placed in HK to play a dual role. Fan Yiping discloses that Xinhua News Agency in HK was originally designated for intelligence. These organizations soon also have their own intelligence-gathering tasks for the CCP. Fan Yiping: "In order to compete for resources internally and show their importance, there beecame a CCP division. CR Holdings is in charge of economic intelligence. China Travel engages in intelligence towards Taiwan through the home visit permit for Taiwanese people. Bank of China is also used in intelligence gathering. There is a division of tasks among the organizations." CR Holding's history can be dated back to before the CCP took power. At that time, Chinese Communists wanted to secure funds for the People's Liberation Army in HK. Liow & Company was established in HK by veteran cadres Zhou Enlai and Chen Yun in 1938. After the CCP seized power, this became a state-owned enterprise under the Ministry of Commerce. It became a window for foreign trade in Hong Kong. 《神韵》2014世界巡演新亮点 http://www.ShenYunPerformingArts.org/

The Case of Unequal Distribution of Educational Resources and Poverty in Rural Chinese Schools

06:01
This multimodal media production (MMP) examines the issue of the unequal distribution of educational resources in China’s primary education. Schools in remote rural regions are lack of instructional equipment, technology supports and teaching staff. Some students there have great difficulty getting to schools due to poor infrastructure and severe natural environment, and as “left behind kids”, many receive very little care or attention. In stark contrast, children in affluent regions enjoy abundant opportunities and advanced education. Therefore, this product seeks to showcase such growing inequality and call for attention and resolutions towards it. In the media product, possible causes of the problem like lack of educational funding, poor economic status, poor infrastructure, shortage of assistance from outside, and very limited teacher education program available, are carefully analyzed. To help deal with the problem of unfairness, the researcher looks into the achievement of “PROJECT HOPE” initiated in early 1990s by Chinese government, which aims to help protect the schooling and education rights of children in rural regions. Then, practicable strategies are put forward. It is suggested that the government should allocate continually large sums of money to promote primary education in rural areas. Some advanced teaching tools, classroom supplies, and more books should be offered. Transportation is another critical aspect that needs to be taken care of. Besides, more teacher education programs should be provided. PTA is a necessity as well. Lastly, the researcher’s personal participation and plans for getting involved in helping solve the problem are discussed.

National Security, Rare Earth Elements & The Thorium Problem

23:00
"The only operating rare earth mine in the United States sends all of their valuable resources to China for processing. Congress does not know this. They think this [mining] company is supplying the U.S. value chain, [and] is supplying the military. It is in-fact, the opposite. They are part of the Chinese monopoly. They're taking powder and shipping it to China, and it comes back as a magnet, or an alloy, or a bolt-on component." - Jim Kennedy To address this issue, contact your legislators to support H.R.4883 https://www.govtrack.us/congress/bills/113/hr4883 Why can't Molycorp, Lynas or any other 'western' rare earth company succeed? China's production and market advantage in Rare Earth Elements (REE) is largely the result of NRC and IAEA "Source Material" regulations with unintended consequences. Source Material: Materials containing any ratio or combination of Thorium and Uranium above .05%. Producing or holding these materials within the regulatory threshold (.05%) requires extensive and wide-ranging licensing, storage, transportation, remediation disposal and compliance costs, including prohibitive liability and bonding issues. Consequently any potential supplier of byproduct / co-product rare earth resources that would be designated as "source material' disposes of these valuable resources to avoid liability and compliance issues. NRC / IAEA regulations regarding "Source Material" played a key roll in undermining the economic viability of all 'western' rare earth producers and are a critical factor in China's current 'market advantage'. Producers like Molycorp and Lynas, with low Thorium deposits, can never compete with China. Resources are abundant and available: U.S mining companies currently mine as much as 50% of global Rare Earth Elements demand every year. But these resources are diverted in tailings lakes or are redistributed back into the host ore body, due to NRC and IAEA regulations defining Monazite and other Thorium bearing rare earth resources as "Source Material". H.R. 4883 would solve the "Thorium Problem" by creating a federally chartered multinational Thorium Energy and Industrial Products Corporation ("Thorium Bank"). Privately funded and operated, this would decouple thorium from rare earth production. The Thorium Corporation would also have Congressional Authority to develop Thorium energy systems and industrial products. Environmental regulations are not scaled back... rather this enables thorium to be stored safely & securely, rather then being treated as "waste". https://www.govtrack.us/congress/bills/113/hr4883 H.R. 4883 thus also addresses the U.S. Weapons Systems current 100% Dependency on China for Rare Earths. http://thoriumenergyalliance.com/downloads/TEAC6/USWeaponsChinese.pdf Federal Legislation governing Strategic Materials, 10 USC 2533b, does not specify rare earths, but includes metal alloys containing limited amounts of manganese, silicon, copper, or aluminum, chromium, cobalt, columbium, molybdenum, nickel, titanium, tungsten, vanadium, nickel and iron-nickel, cobalt, Titanium and Zirconium alloys. Federal Regulations require that these materials be melted in the U.S. Most of these materials are utilized in rare earth alloys, magnets and components in the defense industry. The bill does NOT reclassify thorium. It does NOT alter current environmental protection. It simply resolves "The Thorium Problem" which cripples United States domestic rare earth mining, processing and value-adding processes. An Aquacultural Revolution in China

09:40
See how U.S. soybean farmers are helping Chinese fish farmers to revolutionize aquaculture in China, the world’s largest fish farming country. The U.S. soybean industry funded research to develop the Integrated Pond Aquaculture (IPA) system, which has been provided to China in a technology transfer. The IPA system has been proven to triple the yield of farmed fish in existing Chinese ponds while greatly reducing the environmental impact. Limited water resources can be conserved and recycled, with waste removed for use as biofuel and fertilizer. This system can grow healthy, high quality fish with increased food safety to meet the needs of a growing population. For more information, please go to: http://soyaqua.org/

Walkabout Resources plans capital raising to expedite development of Lindi Jumbo Graphite Project

06:06
Walkabout Resources Ltd (ASX:WKT) chairman Trevor Benson updates Proactive Investors on the explorer’s underwritten $3-million share purchase plan (SPP) that will open next Friday, October 12. Funds raised under the SPP will be used to progress development of the Lindi Jumbo Graphite Project in southeastern Tanzania where the company was recently granted a mining licence. With current cash reserves of circa $5 million, the company will have circa $8 million cash at bank upon completion of the SPP before costs. “With our very strong cash position after this raising we’ll be able to look at alternatives in terms of quasi-debt, debt, soft loans … and we’re looking at a whole raft of different [funding] structures,” Benson says.

HOW CHINA COPIED 5 IMPORTANT RUSSIAN WEAPONS ?

09:38
INTRODUCTION: Defense exports to China provide Russia with a bunch of strategic benefits. Besides bringing in bucket loads of quick cash, Russian weapons generate a strategic spinoff by counterbalancing US military power in Asia. Beijing’s insatiable appetite for advanced weaponry keeps the Russian defense industry ticking along nicely and forces the Americans to divert substantial offensive and defensive resources to check China. This reduces pressure on Russia’s European flanks. However, Russian arms exports to China come with a major downside. The Chinese often buy limited quantities or ‘samples’, take them apart, and then reverse engineer the weapons. These knock-offs are then peddled cheap as chips overseas, undercutting Russian exports. The impact of this copy is so large that some quarters of Russian power circle objected to sell the S 400 to China, due to fear of copy. S 400 is considered to be most powerful anti air defense system in the world. The deal was eventually sealed after Russian analysts said that state of art; S 400 is too complicated to copy. In this video, we look at 5 different weapons china has copied from Russia. S19 MSTA-S SELF-PROPELLED HOWITZER (Russia) CHINESE PLZ-05 SELF-PROPELLED HOWITZER The S19 "Msta-S” is a self-propelled 152 mm howitzer designed by Soviet Union, which entered service in 1989 as the successor to the SO-152. The vehicle is based on the T-80 tank hull, but is powered by the T-72's diesel engine. It is designed to defeat unsheltered and covered manpower, weapons and materiel to division level. Few of these were bought by China. Chinese expert started reverse engineering the system. They faced lots of difficulty especially in replicating the engine and transmission. But finally a decently working copy was created; it was named as PLZ-05 Self-Propelled Howitzer. Weighting 35 tones, it can fire its munitions at a maximum range of 100 km. As seen, the remarkable similarities leave little doubt about its origin. BM-30 SMERCH “WHIRLWIND” MULTIPLE ROCKET LAUNCHER CHINESE PHL03 MULTIPLE ROCKET LAUNCHER The BM-30 Smerch is a Soviet heavy multiple rocket launcher. The system is designed to defeat personnel, armored, and soft-skinned targets in concentration areas like artillery batteries, command posts and ammunition depots. It was created in the early 1980s and entered service in the Soviet Army in 1989. A Smerch unit is typically composed of six launchers and six trans loaders. China bought few of these systems and was impressed by its effectiveness. As can be very well understood , PHL03 is a direct copy of BM-30 “Smerch” ANTONOV AN-12 Y-8 The Antonov An-12 is a four-engine turboprop transport aircraft designed in the Soviet Union. It is the military version of the Antonov An-10 and has many variants. In the 1960s, China purchased several An-12 aircraft from the Soviet Union, along with a license to assemble the aircraft locally. Due to the Sino-Soviet split, the Soviet Union withdrew its technical assistance and the first flight of a Chinese-assembled An-12 was delayed until 1974. The Xi'an Aircraft Company and Xi'an Aircraft Design Institute worked to reverse-engineer the An-12 for local production. RUSSIAN BMP-1 AMPHIBIOUS INFANTRY FIGHTING VEHICLE 501 amphibious infantry-fighting vehicles The People's Republic of China bought a single BMP-1 from Egypt in 1975. Soviet-Chinese diplomatic relations were at the time, confrontational, and the Chinese could not ask for a Soviet BMP-1.By reverse-engineering, the Chinese developed an almost full copy of a Soviet BMP-1 in 1986. The Chinese model WZ 501 was 200 kg lighter and with a copied 320 hp NORINCO 6V150 diesel engine, it had the same maximum road speed as the BMP-1. Sukhoi Su-27 Flanker Righter (Russia) Shenyang J-11 based on the Russian Sukhoi Su-27 & But the era of good feelings didnot hold. Details remain murky and disputed, but the Russians claim that the Chinese began violating licensing terms almost immediately, by installing their own avionics on Flankers, under Chinese designation J 11. The deal fell apart after about half of the Su-27s were sent to China and Moscow accused Chinese manufacturers of replicating the jet under the names J-11 and J11-B. The Chinese also began developing a carrier variant, in direct violation of agreed-to terms named J-15 Flying Shark J-15 Flying Shark is a derivative/illegal copy of the Russian SU-33 which was originally based on Sukhoi-27 airframe. But copying has been done with limited success due to complex engineering involved. China for the first time unveiled Flying Shark in 2010 and according to China’s own Defense Analyst, it is unlikely to achieve the same performance characteristics of the Russian Su-33 carrier-based fighter.

Focus on Resources: Trump effect will end, prices depends on Chinese Policies

16:48
Charles Long, Resources Analyst at Beaufort Securities, comments on the Trump and Chinese market’s effect on oil & metal prices. In the wake of the rebound of the resources market, Charles says the Trump Effect has only a limited effect in short term while the Chinese stimulus and the emerging market growth will support oil & metal prices. Gold price will rally and Iron Ore will be strong during the first half of 2017 & weak in second half. He recommends to watch out two mining companies: Prairie Min (LON: PDZ) Avesoro Resources (LON: ASO) and comments on Solo & Aminex’s Ntorya-2 well announcement (LON: SOLO) (LON:AEX), Zenith Energy (LON: ZEN). Xanadu Mines moves to expand copper resources as global supply shortfall threatens

06:23
Managing director of Xanadu Mines Ltd (ASX:XAM) Dr Andrew Stewart speaks to Proactive Investors about the company’s flagship Kharmagtai copper and gold project in Mongolia, as results from the first hole of an aggressive new drilling program reinforce the potential for a significant expansion of the JORC resource. Xanadu is looking for a resource upgrade before the end of 2018, to be followed immediately by scoping and feasibility studies. The Zaraa discovery comes at a time that global consumers are searching for projects to fulfil future demand for copper, which is set to increase with the proliferation of electric vehicles. “What really excites us and what drives our strategy is the fact that there has been very little exploration over the last decade. When you look globally you can count the amount of discoveries in this space on one hand... I think the real excitement and what we need to be looking for in the industry is where those new discoveries are going to come from to replace the existing projects,” says Stewart.

Extreme transformer home in Hong Kong: Gary Chang's 24 rooms in 1

10:17
Gary Chang has lived in the same 32 square meters (344 square feet) for nearly his entire life. Nearly 40 years ago, he moved into the tiny apartment with not only his parents and 3 younger sisters, but they rented a room to a tenant. During his childhood the space was divided into several small rooms- kitchen, bathrooms and 3 bedrooms (Chang slept on the couch). In 1988 when his family moved out (into something bigger), Chang bought the place from the landlord for $45,000 and began his experiments in small space design. Today, at first glance, the small space appears a fairly average open studio, but with pulls on handles, walls slide across steel tracks, Chang can have a "maximum kitchen", a guest bedroom, a library, dining room, laundry-room and even a spa: one walls slides to reveal an extra-large Duravit bathtub. His home is tricked out with a wall-sized movie screen, a shower with color therapy and massage that doubles as a steam room, but Chang argues that the moving walls are fairly low-tech. And while he can control his appliances with his smartphone he usually prefers the manual option. Chang is now an architect (Edge Design) with a focus on micro-apartments. *Cameraman Johnny Sanphillippo also films for the site Strong Towns: http://www.strongtowns.org/ Gary Chang's Edge Design: http://www.edgedesign.com.hk Original story: http://faircompanies.com/videos/view/extreme-transformer-in-hong-kong-gary-changs-24-rooms-in-1/

Range Resources share price tipped to double

01:18
Increasingly positive news flow and fundamentals could drive the share price of Range Resource Limited (LON:RRL) much higher according to the ‘King of Charts’ Zak Mir. In the latest segment of TIP TV’s Proactive Investors Bulletin Board, Mir tips shares in Range to almost double in the coming months. “It looks like things are finally getting underway in a decent fashion [and] that’s reflected on the charts,” Mir says. “[There are] multiple support points at 0.3p. I’m looking for 0.4p to be broken – that’s the 200-day moving average – to take us back up towards the recent range of 0.6 to 0.65p.”

WHY NORTH KOREA WON’T LAST EVEN FEW DAYS IN A WAR WITH U.S?

06:57
INTRODUCTION: The United Nations Security Council has produced dozens of resolutions, including imposing trade and economic sanctions, but North Korea hasn’t budged even an inch. As United States President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un hurl threats at each other, it is not impossible to expect that the prolonged crisis on the Korean Peninsula will trigger a military conflict or war. This scenario brings in focus the state and competencies of the North Korean army and the overall capacity of the country to wage a war. North Korean military on paper seem an impressive force but is the reality so? In this video, Defense Updates analyzes the capabilities of North Korean military and provides 5 reasons why it wont last even few weeks in a war with U.S? Lets get started. OBSOLETE NAVAL FLEET North Korean navy has about 810 vessels, which in theory could seem a threat but in practice is no more than nuisance. While their quantity is great, their quality isn't as they represent decades old engineering and design concepts. North Korean navy is considered a brown water navy and operates mainly within the 50 km exclusion zone. It has no aircraft carrier or destroyer and has only 3 frigates, which are no match to the advanced U.S surface combatants. Large percent of fleet is made up of small patrol vessels. North Korean military is in possession of a fleet of about 70 submarines, comprised of approximately 20 Romeo class submarines (1,800 tons), 40 Sang-O class submarines (300 tons) and 10 Yono class submarines (130 tons). All of these submarines uses diesel-electric propulsion and were designed in the 50's or 60's. LIMPING AIRFORCE On paper the North Korean Airforce possesses more than 500 combat capable aircrafts, but almost all of them are 3rd generation and 4th generation once. The MiG-29 is the K P A F's most modern fighter and North Korea operates approximately only 40 of these. The whole air fleet also has loads of maintenance issues as they are at the last leg of their service life and are grounded lot of the times. Combat availability of the airforce may be less than 50%. The air-to-air missiles equipping fighters are also far older in technology compared to what U.S possesses. F 22 & F 35 are a generation ahead of Mig 29, and are stealthy. In this scenario, the North Korean pilots will find it very difficult to detect and target them. U.S with far sophisticated fighters, coupled with way better pilot training and strategy, is expected to quickly get air superiority over North Korean skies. ILL EQUIPPED ARMY North Korea has more than 1.2 million active soldiers, and a further 7.7 million in reserve, making its ground force one of the largest in the world. Its troops are bolstered by 200,000 special ops soldiers. But the troops are mostly ill equipped with outdated weapons of Soviet era. The country’s conventional forces, facing a long slide after the end of the Cold War, have faced equipment obsolescence and supply shortages. LIMITED RESOURCES Sustaining a war effort requires massive reserves not only in men, but also in material. Napoleon is known to have said “an army marches on its stomach”. Not only will the relatively poor inventory of ammunition will dwindle down in few weeks but also will the food supply. With these two basic items in short supply, the North Korean forces will not be able to continue fighting for long periods. It is also foreseen by many experts that as the war turns against North Korea, many will start deserting the repressive regime, hastening the process of capitulation. ALLIES North Korea is cut off from the world and basically has almost no allies. China has traditionally been North Korea’s closest ally, but has condemned the latest ICBM test as "unacceptable”. North Korea has historically enjoyed strong links with China, its neighbor to the north and the west. But since Kim took power in 2011, the relationship has cooled. Beijing has repeatedly asked Pyongyang to cease its nuclear tests and ballistic missile launches in vain. Russia has also played it safe in the Korean front. CONCLUSION North Korea invests a huge proportion of its meager economy into its military, and its ambitious missile, nuclear and cyber programs have caused widespread international alarm. Pyongyang spent nearly a quarter of its GDP on the military over the past decade, according to US government estimates. Being isolated from rest of the world, it has failed to acquire modern technologies and as discussed in the video, its armed forces remain technologically handicapped. Strategically, North Korea doesn’t have the required technology, resources or allies to wage a war for more than few days, especially against the most powerful nation in the worlds

Using Africa's Resources for Development - Part 1

39:54
Prof. Paul Collier advises how Africa should benefit from mineral, oil and gas extraction. The current high prices for minerals, oil and gas offer an opportunity for resource-rich countries in Africa to transform their economies and thereby the lives of its people. Yet this 'golden opportunity' can be ruined by corruption, environmental degradation and mismanagement, with benefits limited to a lucky few. What policies do governments need to have in place for the responsible exploitation of minerals, oil and gas? How can African economies prepare themselves to manage new found wealth? How can governments invest and save for future generations? How should exploration rights be valued and extraction companies taxed? Professor Paul Collier explained his strategy for stimulating economic growth in developing countries through selling natural resources such as minerals, oil and gas at an event hosted in Tanzania by UONGOZI Institute on 20 February 2012 The Institute of African Leadership for Sustainable Development, commonly known as UONGOZI Institute, offers training, discussions and resources on leadership, executive management and strategic thinking to leaders in Africa engaged in sustainable development.

China Launches Remote Sensing Satellite for Venezuela

01:36
China launched Venezuela's remote sensing satellite VRSS-2 into a preset orbit from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in northwest China's Gobi desert at 12:13 on Monday. The VRSS-2 was the third satellite jointly launched by China and Venezuela, and also the latter's second remote sensing satellite. It will be primarily used by Venezuela for land resources survey, environmental protection, disaster monitoring and management, crop yield estimation and city planning. The satellite was launched by a Chinese Long March-2D carrier rocket designed by Shanghai Academy of Spaceflight Technology. This was the 252nd flight mission for the Long March rocket family. The successful launch is attributable to full preparation of high standard. "The two hours before the launch were the busiest and most demanding period for launchpad support workers. There were over 100 of them working on dozens of posts. They needed to finish hundreds of tasks within limited time, such as status examination and transition and folding and retreating of devices, and each time, they completed their tasks very well," said Li Bing, chief engineer in charge of the launching site at Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center. In 2008, China launched Venezuela's first satellite -- the Venesat-1, or "Simon Bolivar", which carried communications facilities. In 2012, Venezuela's first remote sensing satellite, the VRSS-1, was launched into space from China. http://www.cctvplus.com/news/20171009/8062920.shtml#!language=1 Subscribe us on Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/c/CCTVPlus CCTV+ official website: http://www.cctvplus.com/ LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/cctv-news-content Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/NewsContent.CCTVPLUS Twitter: https://twitter.com/CCTV_Plus

Tribeca: A specialised approach to natural resources investing

04:59
Craig Evans, Portfolio Manager of the Tribeca Global Natural Resources Fund, estimates that his fund’s global opportunity set is $9 trillion in size, and includes equity and credit exposures to the full suite of hard and soft commodities and service companies that supply them. He says the volatile and cyclical nature of the sector presents a compelling opportunity for investors with the appropriate strategy and skills to navigate the cycles: “Peer investors are often looking at the universe with too long a time horizon, and suffering economic cycles, or they’re not being specialised enough.” In this short video, Evans introduces the strategy employed by Tribeca, and provides a recent example of investing through a full cycle.

Within Malaysian street food, there is Malay Street food, Chinese Street Food, and Indian street food all available to try and the options are endless. Kuala Lumpur street food is some of the best in the world. Street food around the world is different everywhere, but what is so special about Malaysia is how multicultural everything is and how unique the cooking and food culture is. So for my 3rd trip to Malaysia, we came for a Kuala Lumpur food tour. Chuchu and I decided to travel to Malaysia on a 4 day eating vacation to eat as much street food and local specialties as we could. With our limited amount of time on this trip, we ate non stop to sample all of the Kuala Lumpur food available. That being said, in 4 days, we barely scratched the surface of Malaysian food, there is so much more! We visited a few famous Chinese cuisine places, a few famous Malay cuisine places, and of course some amazing Indian cuisine as well. Pakistani Low Cost Electric bike (with limited resources and budget).

03:02
It is my effort of attaching a big gear (48 tooth) to a bicycle hub without using any specialized tools or any lathe machine. Only common sense and experience, I've successfully weld it onto the bicycle hub. On the other side of the hub is the 7 gear socket for paddling. This large gear is used to transfer the power of electric motor to the wheel.

China Aid to Africa? Resources or Friendship?

02:54
Follow us on TWITTER: http://twitter.com/cnforbiddennews Like us on FACEBOOK: http://www.facebook.com/chinaforbiddennews CCP's (Chinese Communist Party) State Council published a white book on China's foreign aid, showing that in the past 60 years China provided RMB256 billion in foreign aid. Half of China aid went to Africa. Overall, most went to developing countries. The white book stresses that China's aid has no political conditions, but respects equality. China's investment in Africa in infrastructure and energy has led to criticisms, however. In a VOA report, Gedion Gamora, Ethiopia advisor at the United Nations, said China's projects do not offer sufficient technology transfer and lack transparency. This may encourage corruption, a problem that is already serious in Africa. Ghana was among the first African countries to have diplomatic relations with China. This April, China offered USD1.8 billiion loan to Ghana. Some Ghanaian senators question the loan plan and its transparency. Ghanaian media said the loan is for road building, but it will tie up Ghana's oil revenue for 15 years. The loan requires Ghana's National Petroleum Corporation to surrender its concession rights, to provide survey maps, seismic data and other sensitive information on oil development and production. A senator said this is like giving up sovereignty. Some African groups said China's investment in raw resources keeps Africa at the bottom of economic chain, deterring its capacity raising for value-added products. Resources control is a new form of colonization. Fu Ziying, Chinese Vice Minister of Commerce, said China's investment in Africa is not limited to resource, and China is not grabbing resources. Investigations show most of China investments in Africa to be in natural recourses. Africa Development bank shows that 70% of African export to Asia is petroleum, mostly from Angola and Sudan. Mineral resources account for 15%. The Times reports on a new research, predicting China's investment in Africa will increase rapidly, reaching USD400 billion in five years. A Reuters article said China has been aiding countries with poor human rights records, such as Myanmar, Sudan, Iran, and North Korea. This makes it difficult for global communities to sanction these countries. NTD reporters Li Ting and Zhu Di 《神韵》2011世界巡演新亮点 http://www.ShenYunPerformingArts.org/

Unheard of Chinese Street Food You MUST Try | Farmers Market in China! China Cuisine

FOOD RANGER MERCH NOW AVAILABLE! http://bit.ly/FOODRANGER Follow me on Insta: http://bit.ly/2c5ojch And subscribe to my channel here: http://bit.ly/2cCy2ub I visited this local market near the outskirts of Chengdu, Sichuan, China, and found Chinese street food and the atmosphere to be mind blowing and exciting! It was truly an experience visiting this Chinese street market! So much food and Sichuan ingredients, so many flavours to try! Please like: www.facebook.com/foodrangin I visited this morning market on a Sunday morning in Chengdu at 8am with an empty stomach and money to blow with the goal of tasting foods and chatting with as many locals as possible. This is a true China experience. It was so busy, with so many people, so many things to buy and look at, tons of vegetables, meat, live chickens, live hens, live roosters, everything you could want really. Fresh handmade noodles, fresh Sichuan cold "liangbancai", and a huge meat market deli area with hanging pork and beef to choose from. All of the locals were friendly and talkative, although a bit surprised to see a foreigner walking through the area! If you're visiting China as a tourist, you'll definitely want to take a walk through a busy morning market like this. There are countless street foods to try and people to chat to (If you speak a little mandarin). This market was mind blowing! Rather than trying hot pot in Chengdu or hot pot in Chongqing, you could try some way cooler food in Chengdu at local market like this. This should be a top priority in my opinion! Chinese cuisine is so diverse, and I consider myself lucky to be able to live in Sichuan, eating Sichuan food everyday, tasting all the top Chinese foods to try whenever I want. I've decided to stay living in China for at least another 2 or 3 years to get the feel of it and eat as much as I can! The address of this market was: 农贸市场 青羊区苏坡中路5-10号 MY GEAR AND RESOURCES + MERCH ► New Camera (AWESOME 4K) : https://amzn.to/2MnyBsg ► Main Lens: https://amzn.to/2MjnuAr ► Great Second Lens (FOR CLOSEUPS): https://amzn.to/2ntJvhG ► Favourite Telephoto: https://amzn.to/2vy3lwU ► Take everywhere cam: https://amzn.to/2P0b2Eb ► Action Cam (WATERPROOF) https://amzn.to/2Macjec ► Audio Setup (GREAT for clear voice): https://amzn.to/2MgzYJc ► Memory Card (for 4K footage): https://amzn.to/2OZrOTO ► Editing Computer (SUPER FAST): https://amzn.to/2M9nIuD ► Main External Hard Drive: https://amzn.to/2OXr4P3 ► Main SSD Hard Drive: https://amzn.to/2OZOyTS ► How I Access The Internet ANYWHERE: https://amzn.to/2vv0TY3 ► MUSIC I USE (Great For YouTubers): http://bit.ly/FoodRangerMusic ►BEST VPN FOR CHINA (ACCESS YOUTUBE): http://bit.ly/AccessYouTubeinChina ► MERCH AVAILABLE HERE: https://shop.bonfire.com/thefoodranger/ ABOUT THE FOOD RANGER ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- My name is Trevor James and I'm a hungry traveler and Mandarin learner that's currently living in Chengdu, Szechuan, China, eating up as much delicious . Water Resources

11:38
005 - Water Resources In this video Paul Andersen explains how water is unequally distributed around the globe through the hydrologic cycles. Seawater is everywhere but is not useful without costly desalination. Freshwater is divided between surface water and groundwater but must me stored and moved for domestic, industrial, and agricultural uses. Subsidized low cost water has created a problem with water conservation but economic changes could help solve the problem. Do you speak another language?
