Debt Crisis of United States of America 2018 Explained in a Simplified Way

05:13
Debt Crisis in United States of America, A Simplified way of understanding the whole scenario of the debt crisis, the inevitable collapse of the american Economy. A must watch simple explanation video for understanding the scenario of US Economy, inflation, stagflation, recession etc. for all those who are considering to shift their jobs and businesses to US in coming future, Sorry for the outdated data figures in the video but it will give you a straight and simple idea about the thing. Debt Crisis: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Debt_crisis US Debt Crisis 2013: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_debt-ceiling_crisis_of_2013 US debt crisis 2011: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_debt-ceiling_crisis_of_2011 Stagflation: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stagflation Some Featured Thoughts by viewers: David Hung: In order not to pay their debt , The evil U.S government will start wars all over the wold , like they always do in the past , in north Africa , Mid-East , South America & wish to overthrow their biggest creditor China . When U.S government use their borrow-money to build army , weapons & missile to kill human life , they even say they believe in God ,how would God answer this BS ! The most bad thing in the world is that you borrow money and you do not pay back , so you kill the person you borrow money from. Cassio VA : Solutions: 1- Make the bigs companies pay taxes 2- Stop burning money whit military things 3- Turn Communism Emperor Tikacuti : The preparation will be, WWIII and the collapse of the American imperial economy, because the American Empire owes more than 20 trillion dollars, both to the nations of the world and the government. If they continue to borrow money from other nations, other nations will feel threatened and will rise as anti-Americans, because they don't want their money to be stolen and borrowing money from the bank will lead to serious problems, for internal debt, whether banking, IRS, companies, insurances and even health care and whatever they're doing against nations and itself and citizens refuse to pay but spend on materials and products, the fault will not be the government but the people as well, because the American Empire isn't ruled by the government but by the people, who caused the collapse and starting a war against nations for resource like Nazi Germany. WWIII will lead the collapse of the American Empire and Capitalism, ending the Cold War and other problems and that time will come, when the bomb hits. Goler Soft 7: how does the government pay back the us debt by putting the fed printed money in banks all around america? and plus the fed charges interest witch puts the government in more debt. so basicly dats paying debt wit debt. also, how does paying back the debt with the federal reserve money cause inflation when the governments not putting the loaned fed money in the economy just using it on the debt? or mabey the government isnt using it to pay the debt. mabye there just putting it in the ecconomy causing inflation claiming there paying off the debt, but really causing inflation. but why? kalatapie: there are two easy steps in fixing the debt crisis: step 1: increce the taxes on the wealthy people. why? because it is not normal for a man to make more money a day than an american makes a lifetime! stem 2: reduce military spending. because, seriously, the cold war is over. you do not need to spend 20% of your GDP in the military considering that there is no major threat for your country. Demogorgon47 : And when the global financial collapse happens revolution will most likely begin. Millions will die from lack of resources and warfare. People will be calling for the heads of the douchebags that enacted the ridiculous federal reserves that corrupted the whole fucking system to begin with. Reserve banks are the cancer in the system. Loaning the people the nation's currency at interest in a huge fucking mistake. A robbery of the worst kind and it'll bring the whole system crashing down because a few greedy fucks decided to rob EVERYONE world wide. It's a broken system. Either replace it with a resource based economy or hold the greedy fucks accountable. Oh that's right they've got everyone in their pocket so they're untouchable. Fucking bullshit. Why is it no one listens to voice of reason? If people did so maybe we wouldn't be heading towards extinction by greed! What Every US State Is Best and Worst At

16:54
What US state is the best? People talk about the United States a lot. It’s a major world leader with the largest economy on the planet and the highest immigration rate in the world. It must be a great place to live, but like any country, it’s not the best at everything. We’re gonna look at what each state in the US is the best and worst at! TIMESTAMPS: New England 1:15 The Mid-Atlantic region 3:01 The South 4:31 The Midwest 8:24 The Southwestern region 11:41 The westernmost region 13:00 Music: https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music SUMMARY: - Maine is the most well-behaved state, with the lowest rate of violent crime in the entire country. - Vermont is the best at gender equality when it comes to employment and income rates. - Connecticut’s residents have the cleanest teeth! Statistically speaking, they’re the most responsible about visiting the dentist regularly. - New York not only has the most densely populated city in America, it’s also the homestate of the most presidents (7) and vice presidents (11). - New Jersey, despite being the butt of so many jokes, has the lowest suicide rate in the country. - Maryland has the best household income rates in the country at an average of $80,000 per year. - Virginia has the lowest asthma rate in the US. That must mean they have the cleanest air, right? Wrong! - West Virginia is the most equal state regarding education, race, and income level. However, only 19% of the population goes on to get a college degree. - Florida: great for vacationing, not so much for living! It’s got the most popular amusement park in not just the country but the whole world: Universal Orlando Resort. - Alabama is the best at college football: their universities have racked up 16 national championship victories. - Louisiana is famous for New Orleans and for the Port of South Louisiana. It’s the largest in the nation, overseeing 60% of the country’s grain exports. - Tennessee has the highest number of caves in the country, so if you’ve ever wanted to go spelunking, get a group together and head on over! But be careful not to hurt your mouth on your expeditions! - Kentucky’s another great place for exploring caves; they’ve got the longest cave system in the entire world! If you’re interested in checking it out, it’s Mammoth Cave National Park. - Kansas is the largest producer of wheat in the nation. Maybe all those endless flat wheat fields have something to do with the fact that this state is also ranked as having the ugliest natural scenery in the US. - North Dakota boasts the highest quality of life in America and the fastest growing economy. - Indiana is the best at high school basketball, but also has more meth labs than any other state. - Texas is the biggest state in the continental US, and as such produces the most energy and has the highest migration rate: over 1,000 people move to Texas each day. - Nevada makes more tax money from gambling than any other state in the country and has the highest rated nightlife. The collapse of Venezuela, explained

07:31
The country is in chaos, but its leaders aren't going anywhere. Correction at 1:58: It’s been brought to our notice that the Supreme Court tried to strip the country’s National Assembly of its powers in March 2017 and not 2016. We regret the error. Venezuela was once the richest country in Latin America. It has the largest known oil reserves in the world. And its democratic government was once praised world wide. But today, Venezuela’s democratic institutions and its economy are in shambles. The country has the highest inflation in the world, making food and medicine inaccessible to most Venezuelans. Over the last four years, its GDP has fallen 35%, which is a sharper drop than the one seen during the Great Depression in the US. The country’s murder rate has surpassed that of the most dangerous cities in the world. These conditions have sparked months of protests against the president, Nicolas Maduro. And it’s easy to see why: the country has become measurably worse since his election in 2013. The Cost Of Obesity In America

03:06
How much does the obesity epidemic actually cost the USA? Subscribe to our channel: http://goo.gl/9CwQhg ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Description: When it comes to the controversial topic of obesity, the United States is the frontrunner of the epidemic. With fast food chains running rampant across the country with oversized portions and less activity taking place, it shouldn’t be a surprise as to why America has gotten so fat. One of the busiest industries in America is the food industry and the medical industry. But in reality, being far and obese is quite difficult and it robs people of a good quality of life. So much money today is being spent on obesity, but the real question is how much money is being spent and wasted on obesity? Let’s think about it, people who are dealing with obesity have to have transportation, wear clothing, eat food, and have access to medical care. However, obese people can’t utilize these basic human rights like regular Average Joe’s. For example, when it comes to transportation, cars and airplanes need extra fuel support in order to be able to handle the extra weight. Needing to refuel, or rebuild cars and planes so that they won’t fall apart or collapse is a hefty bill that has to be covered to ensure physical safety. The next area is clothing. Regular clothes won’t fit obese people, and the clothing has to be made with extra fabric. This usually means that plus size clothes will cost more than regular clothes, and therefore, wasting extra money. The diet industry has also cost Americans a lot of money, as it has to be specially made with reduced calories, sugar and fat substitutes, and more, just to fit the strict standards of what is considered to be diet food. After using more mechanical transportation and eating diet food, there is also the cost of food production and meeting demands. Food is being processed and mass produced more than ever in order to meet the high food demands of America. Companies are going to cheaper options that are less quality, but they can still slap on a higher price in order to make more money. Finally, one of the heftiest bills that obese people have to deal with is medical bills. It’s no secret that obese people have more medical issues than the average sized person. Of course there are exceptions, but carrying around a lot of extra weight will eventually catch up to people, whether it’s in the form of diabetes, heart or lung issues, or a problem with internal organs. The medical industry has seen a boom in customers who are obese, and it’s likely only going to get worse, as American society has shown no sign of changing their product availability. In closing, all of these areas are costing Americans money, and in total, obesity has cost the United States about $500 billion, which is more money than what several countries. The question for you, dear viewer, is how much is too much? And what will it take for people to finally stop and change their habits and start gravitating towards a healthier lifestyle? ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Our Social Media: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/TheRichest.org Twitter: https://twitter.com/TheRichest_Com Instagram: http://instagram.com/therichest ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For more videos and articles visit: http://www.therichest.com/

The Constitution, the Articles, and Federalism: Crash Course US History #8

13:04
In which John Green teaches you about the United States Constitution. During and after the American Revolutionary War, the government of the new country operated under the Articles of Confederation. While these Articles got the young nation through its war with England, they weren't of much use when it came to running a country. So, the founding fathers decided try their hand at nation-building, and they created the Constitution of the United States, which you may remember as the one that says We The People at the top. John will tell you how the convention came together, some of the compromises that had to be made to pass this thing, and why it's very lucky that the framers installed a somewhat reasonable process for making changes to the thing. You'll learn about Shays' Rebellion, the Federalist Papers, the elite vs rabble dynamic of the houses of congress, and start to find out just what an anti-federalist is. Why is TEXAS so SUCCESSFUL? - VisualPolitik EN

08:31
Since the beginning of the financial crisis in December 2007, Texas, which represents around 8% of the U.S. population, has been responsible for one out of every four new jobs created in the country. Having said this, it is also no surprise that more and more people consider Texas as the true economic driver of the U.S. And even though the economy in Texas is suffering from the fall in oil prices, very few people believe that this state won’t keep its lead thanks to its increasingly diversified economy. So, you might be wondering now: What exactly is so special about Texas? We’ll tell you all about it in this video. Did you enjoy our video? Why is the CHINESE Economy ADDICTED to DEBT? - VisualPolitik EN

We can´t hide it, here at VisualPolitik we love Asia, and that’s partly because, we believe that the world’s centre is already on this continent. But in the last few decades, one country has stood out of the crowd, and that is China. China has faced two major threats in the last years: less growth and much, much, more debt. In fact, this has even lead to an important question: Can China go bankrupt? Well, that's what we'll be talking in today's video! What Would Happen if CALIFORNIA SECEDED from the Union (America)?

10:41
Before we get started, we want to point out two things. First is that a state leaving the Union would be an incredibly complex legal issue, and who knows what people and companies will do if a Caliexit happens. So to simplify the scenario, this is looking at what would happen if nothing changed in California. The only difference is that California is now its own separate country. →Subscribe for new videos every day! https://www.youtube.com/user/toptenznet?sub_confirmation=1 → → GET A T-SHIRT - http://www.toptenz.net/toptenz-t-shirts →Top 10 Objects That Were Clearly Invented Just to Annoy Physics: https://youtu.be/0MVGeRa-vLo →Simon's VLOG: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCvqt8j7DfPmveJp3UOk9XTg Entertaining and educational top 10 lists from TopTenzNet! Social Policy: Crash Course Government and Politics #49

08:54
Today, Craig is going to talk about social policy - in the United States this means achieving one of three goals: protecting Americans from risk, promoting equal opportunity, or assisting the poor. Many Americans strongly believe in individualism, that is self-reliance, but since the Great Depression and the New Deal the government’s role has increased significantly. We’re going to focus on two social policies that came out of the New Deal - Social Security and what we tend to think of as “welfare” - and talk about why they’re still around now and potentially the future. These and other social policies are not without controversy, as things tend to be when involving our tax dollars, and we’re going to talk about that too. The Market Revolution: Crash Course US History #12

14:11
In which John Green teaches you about the Market Revolution. In the first half of the 19th century, the way people lived and worked in the United States changed drastically. At play was the classic (if anything in a 30 year old nation can be called classic) American struggle between the Jeffersonian ideal of individuals sustaining themselves on small farms vs. the Hamiltonian vision of an economy based on manufacturing and trade. I'll give you one guess who won. Too late! It was Hamilton, which is why if you live in the United States, you probably live in a city, and are unlikely to be a farmer. Please resist the urge to comment about this if you live in the country and/or are a farmer. Your anecdotal experience doesn't change the fact that most people live in cities. In the early 19th century, new technologies in transportation and communication helped remake the economic system of the country. Railroads and telegraphs changed the way people moved goods and information around. The long and short of it is, the Market Revolution meant that people now went somewhere to work rather than working at home. Often, that somewhere was a factory where they worked for an hourly wage rather than getting paid for the volume of goods they manufactured. This shift in the way people work has repercussions in our daily lives right down to today. Watch as John teaches you how the Market Revolution sowed the seeds of change in the way Americans thought about the roles of women, slavery, and labor rights. POLITICAL THEORY - Karl Marx

09:28
Karl Marx remains deeply important today not as the man who told us what to replace capitalism with, but as someone who brilliantly pointed out certain of its problems. The School of Life, a pro-Capitalist institution, takes a look. For gifts and more from The School of Life, visit our online shop: https://goo.gl/O1tWri Download our App: https://goo.gl/kj9Vvr FURTHER READING “Most people agree that we need to improve our economic system somehow. It threatens our planet through excessive consumption, distracts us with irrelevant advertising, leaves people hungry and without healthcare, and fuels unnecessary wars. Yet we’re also often keen to dismiss the ideas of its most famous and ambitious critic, Karl Marx. This isn’t very surprising. In practice, his political and economic ideas have been used to design disastrously planned economies and nasty dictatorships. Frankly, the remedies Marx proposed for the ills of the world now sound a bit demented. He thought we should abolish private property. People should not be allowed to own things. At certain moments one can sympathise. But it’s like wanting to ban gossip or forbid watching television. It’s going to war with human behaviour. And Marx believed the world would be put to rights by a dictatorship of the proletariat; which does not mean anything much today. Openly Marxist parties received a total of only 1,685 votes in the 2010 UK general election, out of the nearly 40 million ballots cast…” You can read more on this and many other topics on our blog TheBookofLife.org at this link: https://goo.gl/Rt3zri MORE SCHOOL OF LIFE Our website has classes, articles and products to help you think and grow: https://goo.gl/93tGtZ Watch more films on POLITICAL THEORY in our playlist: http://bit.ly/2dma0Sn Do you speak a different language to English? 10 Most Important Cities in the World

Ever since Adam Smith wrote Wealth of Nations, we’ve understood that sovereign states are where it’s at, both economically and politically. Or have we? The 21st Century has seen the world’s most economically-active cities overtake countries so fast that nations are eating their dust. New York alone has an economy bigger than Canada. Why we can't shop our way to a better economy | Stacy Mitchell | TEDxDirigo

14:51
Stacy Mitchell is a researcher and writer at the Institute for Local Self-Reliance (ILSR), a national nonprofit organization that challenges corporate consolidation of the economy and champions policies to nurture community-scaled enterprise. Stacy directs two ILSR initiatives on independent business and community banking. Her analysis has helped inspire many grassroots campaigns and provided empirical support for changes to local and state policy. Stacy's articles have appeared in Business Week, The Nation, Grist, Utne Reader, Sojourners, and many daily newspapers. Her book, Big-Box Swindle: The True Cost of Mega-Retailers and the Fight for America's Independent Businesses, was named one of the top ten business books of 2007 by Booklist. In 2006, she helped launch the Portland Independent Business & Community Alliance, which has a membership today of over 400 local businesses and runs Portland's popular "buy local" campaign. Stacy is a graduate of Macalester College, where she studied U.S. labor and environmental history. She lives in Portland with her husband. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)

How the Trade War with China Will Affect the U.S.

02:25
With the onset of Trump’s trade war, diplomatic relations between the U.S. and China—the world’s largest and second-largest economies, respectively—have reached a crisis point. Yasheng Huang, a political economist, MIT professor, and the author of Capitalism with Chinese Characteristics, argues that “a trade war would negatively affect the interest of U.S. consumers, companies, and the financial system of the United States.” Speaking at the 2018 Aspen Ideas Festival, Huang goes on to explain how the newly-imposed tariffs on Chinese goods will raise domestic prices. He also reveals how the U.S. and China can coexist “peacefully and profitably”—and why the onus is on America to ensure that reality.

Its capital, centrally located Nashville, is the heart of the country-music scene, with the long-running Grand Ole Opry, the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum and a legendary stretch of honky-tonks and dance halls. Tennessee has in the recent past been considered one of the best states to live in the country. If you are looking to move to a state crammed with beautiful scenery, deep-rooted cultural traditions and where the cost of living is low, Tennessee is just the place for you. With more than 6.6 million people calling it home, this is the 17th largest state in terms of population. The eastern side of the state seats the Great Smoky Mountains where the nation’s most visited national park is located: the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. It is a dream for anyone looking for virgin hiking trails. If farming is more your kind of thing, the western part, featuring miles of lush farmland, will appeal to you best. But just like every other state, Tennessee has a mix of larger urban areas (Memphis and Nashville) as well as many small communities that are a nice escape from the hustle and bustle of the big city. U.S. Housing Bubble Bust? Home Prices Fall Nationally, Seattle Down $70K!!

12:08
The United States housing bubble is showing more signs of peaking. The median home price in Seattle, WA has dropped $70,000 in the past 3-months. Nationwide in the U.S. home prices have taken the biggest drop in about 10 years, over the past 2 quarters. Foreign buyers are starting to lose interest in the American housing market as housing bubbles begin to deflate in many parts of the world. Interest rates are projected to rise further, which will make it even harder for home prices to stay at these over-inflated levels . Housing is a huge driver for the entire economy, so when prices really begin to turn downward, we could see a snowball effect into the broader market and it could get ugly in a hurry! Where US Politics Came From: Crash Course US History #9

13:57
In which John Green teaches you where American politicians come from. In the beginning, soon after the US constitution was adopted, politics were pretty non-existent. George Washington was elected president with no opposition, everything was new and exciting, and everyone just got along. For several months. Then the contentious debate about the nature of the United States began, and it continues to this day. Washington and his lackey/handler Alexander Hamilton pursued an elitist program of federalism. They attempted to strengthen the central government, create a strong nation-state, and leave less of the governance to the states, They wanted to create debt, encourage manufacturing, and really modernize the new nation/ The opposition, creatively known as the anti-federalists, wanted to build some kind of agrarian pseudo-paradise where every (white) man could have his own farm, and live a free, self-reliant life. The founding father who epitomized this view was Thomas Jefferson. By the time Adams became president, the anti-federalists had gotten the memo about how alienating a name like anti-federalist can be. It's so much more appealing to voters if your party is for something rather than being defined by what you're against, you know? In any case, Jefferson and his acolytes changed their name to the Democratic-Republican Party, which covered a lot of bases, and proceeded to protest nearly everything Adams did. Lest you think this week is all boring politics, you'll be thrilled to hear this episode has a Whiskey Rebellion, a Quasi-War, anti-French sentiment, some controversial treaties, and something called the XYZ Affair, which sounds very exciting. Learn all about it this week with John Green. Hey teachers and students - Check out CommonLit's free collection of reading passages and curriculum resources to learn more about the events of this episode. Much of America's politics came from debates between democratic republican Thomas Jefferson and federalist Alexander Hamilton: https://www.commonlit.org/texts/alexander-hamilton While Jefferson would go on to become president, Hamilton heavily influenced President George Washington who set many American political ideals in his farewell address that Hamilton helped craft: https://www.commonlit.org/texts/washington-s-farewell-address Follow us! http://www.twitter.com/thecrashcourse http://www.twitter.com/realjohngreen http://www.twitter.com/crashcoursestan http://www.twitter.com/raoulmeyer http://www.twitter.com/saysdanica http://www.twitter.com/thoughtbubbler Turn on the captions. USA watches China building new capitalism

00:43
The crisis in the US is likely to become a significant milestone against the background of current events in world economy. According to German newspaper Die Welt, the volume of securities lending has tripled in the past 6 years. Vasily Koltashov, Director of the Center for Economic Research at the Institute of Globalization and Social Movements "China will face a serious problem - this is the main event of the second wave of the economic crisis. The future of global economy will depend on how the Chinese production will be declining. This will be a whole new model of global capitalism. The United States will be standing aside from these events in an attempt to keep control over Europe and the Pacific Rim countries. Yet, the economic events of the United States will not be determining the course of events in China." Federalism: Crash Course Government and Politics #4

09:15
In which Craig Benzine teaches you about federalism, or the idea that in the United States, power is divided between the national government and the 50 state governments. Craig will teach you about how federalism has evolved over the history of the US, and what powers are given to the federal government, and what stuff the states control on their own. And he punches an eagle, which may not surprise you at all. Obamanomics: Economic Growth in Oklahoma (Episode 4) 4K

15:01
Welcome to Episode 4 of my 4k resolution documentation of Obamanomics in Oklahoma. I am aiming to provide an objective documentation of economic growth in Oklahoma. I started gathering the data on March 8th, 2017, during President Trump's first 100 days. Unfortunately much of that data is low quality video. On April 8th I began filming and refilming using a 4k resolution camera. My goal is to provide a large, but indefinite, amount of future presentations of the prolific economic development that has occurred under President Obama's leadership, and steadily continues immediately following his tenure as president. The video editing has been a challenge. I have started learning to create video specifically for this project. Naturally, I am steadily acquiring more skills in that area. I will work to make each future episode higher quality than the last. The important thing is to document the truth. How did MACAU surpass VEGAS? - VisualPolitik EN

10:25
Macau is an autonomous region on the south coast of China, across the Pearl River Delta from Hong Kong. A Portuguese territory until 1999, it reflects a mix of cultural influences. Its giant casinos and malls on the Cotai Strip, which joins the islands of Taipa and Coloane, have earned it the nickname, "Las Vegas of Asia." One of its more striking landmarks is 338m-high Macau Tower, with sweeping city views. Did you enjoy our video? Click the 'subscribe' button and stay tuned for our new videos every week! How to Make a Country Rich

09:07
If you were setting out to make a country rich, what kind of mindsets and ideas would be most likely to achieve your goals? We invent a country, Richland, and try to imagine the psychology of its inhabitants. For gifts and more from The School of Life, visit our online shop: https://goo.gl/LSHb5a Download of App: https://goo.gl/E9S7uW FURTHER READING “Most of what we call ‘politics’ really revolves around the question of what you need to do to make a country richer. Rather than ask this of any specific country, let’s imagine designing a country from scratch. How could you make it as rich as possible? Suppose the brief was to design ‘Richland’: an ideal wealth-creating society. What would be the chief characteristics you’d need to build into this society? What would a nation look like that was ideally suited to success in modern capitalism?...” You can read more on this and other topics on our blog TheBookofLife.org at this link: https://goo.gl/StpBHa MORE SCHOOL OF LIFE Our website has classes, articles and products to help you think and grow: https://goo.gl/oeof2J Watch more films on CAPITALISM in our playlist: http://bit.ly/TSOLcapitalism Do you speak a different language to English? In a tweet on Thursday, Mr Trump — who has threatened to press ahead with new tariffs on $200bn of Chinese products — said the US felt “no pressure to make a deal”. China, he said, was feeling all the heat to stop the trade war. “Our markets are surging, theirs are collapsing. We will soon be taking in Billions in Tariffs & making products at home. If we meet, we meet?” he wrote. Mr Mnuchin made an overture to China by seeking talks with Liu He, the top Chinese economic official, that would defuse tensions and stop the US from moving ahead with the new levies, according to one person familiar with the discussions between Beijing and Washington. But China also want to use CPEC China Pakistan Economic Corridor to exports Goods towards Middle East and African countries to beat the United States.

Why can't we just print money to pay off debt?

10:09
A video looking at way you can't simply print money to pay off debt. And what has happened when countries have tried to! And for that matter why a country having debt isn't necessarily a bad thing. The only reason the US has the most debt is because the US dollar is considered the most trust-worthy currency and other countries see the US as a safe place to put their money. It would be worse it countries started buying debt of other countries and stopped putting into the United States. The debt may be a lot but it's actually not something that's an issue. The US will never 'pay-off' its debt because that's not how it works. National debt only becomes an issue if GDP isn't growing, which it is. A more accurate way to see when the debt is an issue is the debt-GDP ration. In which the US is fine in that respect. Whereas Greece and Japan have debt-GDP ratios of over 150%, which is bad. Also, keep in mind that the US owns debt of many other countries. In fact, for every $1 of US debt, the US holds $0.89 of foreign debt.
